La presente investigación se desarrolla sobre el riesgo crediticio en el sector automotriz en el Ecuador y propone determinar los diversos factores lineales asociados al fenómeno de estudio. La investigación fue realizada a través de un estudio cuantitativo de alcance exploratorio, descriptivo y correlacional, en su metodología de análisis se aplicaron las encuestas a 120 sujetos de estudio en las agencias comerciales de motocicletas del Ecuador en forma no probabilística e intencional. Como variables independientes se analizó el nivel de ingresos, comportamiento de pagos y sobreendeudamiento del cliente y como contra se estableció la variable dependiente de riesgo crediticio. Se encuentra la evidencia estadística significativa a un nivel menor a 0,05 p-valor para afirmar que Prom_NivelIngresos (0,507**), Prom_ComportamientoPago (0,446**) y Prom_SobreendeudamientoCliente (0,432**) son factores asociados y altamente correlacionados con el riesgo crediticio. Se concluye que el nivel ejecutivo del sector automotriz con la especialidad de ventas en motocicletas en el Ecuador debe tener un punto importante de consideración en los factores clave para tomar decisiones oportunas y acertadas que incidan positivamente en la disminución del riesgo crediticio de sus clientes.
