Indonesia has a huge potential for fisheries resources, but the level of fish consumption in Indonesia is still low. One of the efforts that can be done to increase fish consumption is by forming a habit of eating fish in school-age children. The outcomes achieved in PKM activities are 1) Increasing student knowledge, especially fish nuggets, 2) Parents can create catfish nuggets. The method used is the transfer of knowledge and technology accompanied by group learning practices. The activity was attended by 37 elementary school students and 20 PAUD Banyu Belik natural school students. The activity was carried out through several stages, namely: the socialization of fond of eating fish, filling out questionnaires, the distribution of let's eat fish, the practice and the distribution of catfish nuggets. This dedication activity succeeded in giving students an understanding of the importance of consuming fish and processed fish food as food with high nutritional value. Another technological finding is an improvement in packaging models that are more environmentally friendly. AbstrakIndonesia memiliki potensi sumber daya perikanan yang sangat besar, tetapi tingkat konsumsi ikan di Indonesia masih rendah. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan konsumsi ikan adalah dengan membentuk sikap gemar makan ikan pada anak usia sekolah. Adapun luaran yang telah dicapai pada kegiatan PKM yaitu 1) Meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa terutama produk nugget ikan, 2) Orang tua dapat menciptakan produk nugget lele. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan transfer ilmu dan teknologi disertai praktek pembelajaran kelompok. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 37 siswa Sekolah Dasar dan 20 siswa PAUD Sekolah Alam Banyu Belik. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: sosialisasi gemar makan ikan, pengisian kuesioner, pembagian pin ayo makan ikan, praktek serta pembagian nugget lele. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa pentingnya mengkonsumsi ikan dan makan olahan ikan dengan nilai gizi yang tinggi. Temuan teknologi lainnya yaitu perbaikan model pengepakan yang lebih ramah lingkungan.
This research was conducted to build a view of the nature of science and technology (VNoST) chemistry education student's ability through the didactical design reconstruction. The material taken is Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) topic with technochemistry education model. It is a model that looked at education from the perspective of engineers and scientists who work not only on inquiry but also on a design perspective. Based on literature research, Indonesian students had low academic literacy performance as revealed in PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) study from 2000-2015. This problem can be caused by a weak teacher's abilities of the nature of science and technology (VNoST). This research's method is Research and Development (R&D) through the Model of Educational Reconstruction (MER). The instruments used were the VNoST questionnaire, interview guidelines, and content analysis guidelines. This study's subjects were 25 prospective chemistry education students in the 6 th semester for pre-conception study and ten students for implementation study at one of State Universities in Indonesia. The didactical design of learning that has been developed had several advantages, including the prediction of student responses and the anticipation of educators as well as the essential material that is a barrier to student learning. Analysis of the VNoST understanding construction patterns is explored further so that the reasons that underlie students in defining science and technology and their relationship are obtained. The implementation study proved that understanding VNoST students after attending didactical design learning improved by changing students' views on science and technology to be more accurate.
ABSTRAKEkosistem mangrove merupakan ekosistem unik yang hanya berada di wilayah tropis dan subtropis. Sebagian besar ekosistem ini terdapat di Segara Anakan, Cilacap. Sebagian besar masyarakat kampung laut di Segara Anakan telah memanfatkan ekosistem tersebut. Akan tetapi, pada kawasan ini terdapat beberapa permasalahan yaitu terjadinya degradasi lingkungan akibat sedimentasi maupun faktor antropogenik dan masih rendahnya kesadaran penduduk setempat tentang nilai pentingnya mangrove serta lemahnya pengawasan dari pihak yang berwenang. Pada tanggal 10 September 2022 telah dilaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat dengan Kelompok Tani Patra Krida Wana Lestari. Tujuan program ini meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk terlibat dalam kelestarian hutan mangrove, pemeliharaan dan perawatan areal penanaman mangrove secara berkelanjutan dan mandiri; serta tujuan jangka panjang terbentuknya labortorium alam sebagai penunjang ilmu pengetahuan dan tempat wisata. Metode PKM yang digunakan berupa transfer ilmu dan teknologi dalam pembelajaran kelompok yang meliputi sosialisasi dan praktek penanaman mangrove yang dilakukan oleh mitra dan mahasiswa dengan didampingin tim dosen. Selanjutnya, sebagai evaluasi dari kegiatan pengabdian diberikan kuesioner dengan hasil yaitu seluruh responden (20 orang) mengetahui fungsi mangrove, setuju dengan adanya program penanaman mangrove dan setuju dijadikan tempat laboratorium alam. Akan tetapi, terdapat 2 responden tidak setuju didirikannya wisata edukasi serta 1 responden tidak mengetahui bahwa wisata edukasi dapat menambah pendapatan penduduk. Secara keseluruhan dapat dilihat bahwa sebagain besar responden mengetahui peran penting mangrove dan menyetujui dibentuknya wisata edukasi. Most of these ecosystems are found in Segara Anakan, Cilacap. Most of the sea village communities in Segara Anakan have taken advantage of this ecosystem. However, in this area there are several problems, namely the occurrence of environmental degradation due to sedimentation and anthropogenic factors and the low awareness of local residents about the importance of mangroves and weak supervision from the authorities. On September 10, 2022, a community service program was carried out with the Patra Krida Wana Lestari Farmer Group. The purpose of this program is to increase public awareness to be involved in the preservation of mangrove forests, maintain and care for mangrove planting areas in a sustainable and independent manner; as well as the long-term goal of establishing a natural laboratory to support science and tourist attractions. The PKM method used is in the form of knowledge and technology transfer in group learning which includes socialization and mangrove planting practices carried out by partners and students accompanied by a team of lecturers. Furthermore, as an evaluation of the service activities, a questionnaire was given with the results that all respondents (20 people) knew the function of mangroves, agreed with the mangrove planting program and agreed to be used as a natural laboratory. However, there are 2 respondents who do not agree with educational tourism and 1 respondent does not know that educational tourism can increase the income of the population. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menndiskripsikan gambaran sikap bahasa mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan bahasa baik dan benar dalam lisan maupun tulis. Banyak ditemukan mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan tugas seperti paper atau makalah masih menggunakan bahasa yang tidak sesuai kaidah Bahasa Indonesia. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana gambaran sikap bahasa mahasiswa prodi PBI di Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Purwokerto terhadap penggunaan bahasa baik dan benar dalam lisan maupun tulis. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan diskripsi kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode survei. Penelitian akan mendeskripsikan secara menyeluruh yang berhubungan dengan temuan yang bersumber pada instrument utama yaitu angket yang berisi kuisoner. Hasil dari penelitian diolah memakai uji analisis deskriptif dengan pernyataan positif yang tinggi di aspek kesetiaan 41,4%, kebanggaan 44,8%, dan kesadaran 41,4% yang rata-rata tertinggi setuju diantara lima point lainnya, Dapat dikatakan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki sikap bahasa dalam penggunaan bahasa yang baik dan benar yang positif.
This study aims to examine the views of the nature of science and technology (VNOST) of the pre-service chemistry teacher. The participants comprised 23 6th semester students at one of the state universities in Semarang, Indonesia. This study utilized a questionnaire and qualitative approach to gathering data. The NOST questionnaire consists of eight multiple-choice items, comprising of four aspects: definitions of science and technology, the epistemology, the internal sociology of science, and the external sociology of science. It was found that 78% of students had incomplete but legitimate views on the definition of science. They only viewed science as a study of principles, laws, and theories in biology, physics, and chemistry or body of knowledge without considering the scientific process behind it. Meanwhile, the remaining 22% consider science includes an investigative process and the process of resulting knowledge. Generally, the majority of the pre-service chemistry teachers still have lack comprehension of defining science and technology both epistemologically and sociologically. Thus, the results showed that pre-service chemistry teachers still need to improve their views of the nature of science and technology.
