This study aims to explore patient and nurse perceptions of patient safety to increase patient engagement so that patients can be aware of patient safety in the Hospital Hemodialysis Unit. This research method uses qualitative methods of conducting in-depth interviews with patients and medical personnel. The results of this study indicate that overall the patients said they were satisfied with the services provided; this was evidenced by the patient feeling very well known by the medical staff, both nurses and doctors. In conclusion, this kinship relationship is highly valued by the patient and accompanying family so that patients can be open to medical personnel so that effective communication can be well established. Special needs children often behave maladaptively. This has a negative impact on the child and the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the implementation of behavior modification techniques in overcoming the maladaptive behavior of special needs children. The literature review method uses the online database search stage through Mendeley, the inclusion and exclusion process for articles in 2019-2021 obtained a total of 146 national scientific articles and after being rechecked, there are 17 literatures that match the criteria, then a descriptive synthesis and analysis is carried out, and the results are presented. The results of the synthesis and analysis show that the application of behavior modification can overcome maladaptive behavior in the social, self-development, and academic aspects of special needs children. Conclusions from 17 articles describe that behavior modification techniques are effective for overcoming maladaptive behavior in autism, ADHD, intellectual disability and hearing impairment.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran persepsi mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus terhadap implementasi model DAMMRI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualiatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 1 orang mahasiswa tunadaksa dan 1 orang mahasiswa tunagrahita ringan semester V, penelitian di lakukan di program studi pendidikan khusus FKIP ULM Banjarmasin, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi kedua subjek terhadap implementasi model DAMMRI sudah baik dan mereka cukup antusias dengan adanya model ini. Namun apabila dibandingkan persepsi antara keduanya diketahui bahwa persepsi DRA terhadap implementasi model DAMMRI lebih baik dibandingkan IH. Temuan yang diperoleh sekaligus juga sebagai masukan adalah IH masih belum memahami peran juru ketik pada saat implementasi model DAMMRI sehingga ke depannya perlu dilakukan sosialisasi terhadap keberadaan juru ketik di dalam kelas.
Tunanetra sangat terbantu oleh adanya tongkat untuk melakukan Orientasi dan Mobilitas (OM), tongkat yang selama ini digunakan belum cukup mengakomodir kebutuhan penyandang tunanetra misalnya dalam mengidentifikasi genangan air atau daerah rawa yang akan dilaluinya. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan alatbantu mobilitas untuk membantu mobilitas penyandang tunanetra di lingkungan lahan basah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan R &D (Research and Development) desain ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian adalah penyandang tunanetra di Daerah Bantaran sungai Barito Kalimantan Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes tindakan, angket, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui keefektifan dan kepraktisan pengembangan tongkat ajaib. Penelitian R&D ini menghasilkan produk berupa tongkat ajaib yang telah dikonsep oleh peneliti dan selanjutnya dirakit oleh mitra, tongkat yang dikembangkan dilengkapi dnegan vitur audio yang dpat mengidentifikasi halang rintang saat melakukan mobilitas seperti jalan berlubang, genangan air, dan api. Keefektifan alat bantu mobilitas yang dikembangkan berupa tongkat modifikasi mencapai 82% dengan kriteria sangat efektif.
This study aims to examine the use of E-learning based on LMS for college students with special needs during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is a literature study, where the researcher collects relevant data to support the researcher’s ideas. Based on the literature review results, the use of E-Learning based on LMS Edmodo, Schoology, and Learnboost has the same effectiveness despite having different levels of ease of use. Meanwhile, the most frequently used E-Learning based on LMS at the university level is Moodle. In its utilization, E-learning based on LMS has five standard features. So that these five features can be used optimally by students with special needs during the Covid-19 pandemic, things that need to be considered are: (1) particular guidelines for the use of E-Learning based on LMS are available for college students with special needs; (2) audio is available that can be used by college students with visual impairments, (3) sign language is available as an interface so that college students can access it with hearing impairments, (4) available text on lecturer materials in the form of video or audio so that it can be accessed by college students with hearing impairments, (5) there is a virtual keyboard feature available in E-Learning based on LMS which allows college students with physical and motor disabilities to use the mouse to type or do other activities on the computer, (6) the features available in E-Learning based on LMS are designed to accept voice input.
One thing that plays important role in building inclusive education in universities especially Special Education Study Program is social acceptance of non-special education lecturers for the existence of students with hearing impairment in the lectures. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to know the social acceptance of non-special education lecturers for the existence of students with hearing impairment in lectures of Special Education Study Progam in Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. The method applied in this research was a case study with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 3 (three) non-special education lecturers that had taught students with special needs in Special Education Study Program of Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. The techniques of collecting data were a questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The data was analyzed by interactive analysis. The results showed that social acceptance of non-special education lecturers for students with hearing impairment in lectures of Special Education Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University had appeared, but it has not been realized concretely. This is seen from the lack of interaction for students with hearing impairment during learning so that it causes in less understanding of the lecturers about their learning needs.
Social interaction is a relationship between two people or more that happens because of connected communication and socialization. In this study, social interaction is defined as the interactions between students with disabilities and regular students in a class, the social interaction among students with disabilities, and the social interaction between students with disabilities and volunteers. The social interactions by the students with disabilities in class appear in various patterns because of the different conditions of each student, communication methods, language perceptions, peers acceptance in class, volunteers and the students with disabilities themselves. This research is conducted to know the pattern of students with disabilities social interaction in learning session in the classroom. The research method used is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The research subjects were students with disabilities, regular students, and volunteers. The result revealed that there are two patterns of social interaction in a class learning session. The first is the positive social interaction, formed by cooperations, understanding in communication, and acceptances from two sides. The other is the negative social interaction, the one with difficulties because some factors such as communication barrier, introvert personalities of students with disabilities, and the fears to start a communication.
Inclusive education is a system of education service that provides opportunities for children with special needs to be able to study in regular schools. The development of inclusive education has grown to the level of higher education. Lambung Mangkurat Univeristy is the university that accepts students with special needs. However, there are still many problems faced by special needs students in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to know the problem of special needs students in the learning process at Lambung Mangkurat University. The approach used in this research was qualitative approach with case study research type. The data sources in this research were volunteers, lecturer, special needs students, and regular students while secondary data sources were documentation, photos, activity note and letters. Techniques of collecting data in this research were interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used was interactive analysis. The results showed that there was no modification for teaching materials of special needs student, coordination between volunteers and lecturers was still lack, and volunteers were ready to help special needs students in the learning process. Regular students have been willing to accept special needs student and to be invited to work together to help special needs student. Many lecturers do not understand the condition of special needs student that special needs students have difficulty in attending lectures and understanding the materials, There was no assistive technology that can help special needs student during the lecture process, Evaluation of learning outcomes for special needs student has not been modified.
