Translation is the process of transferring one language to another language by changing source language (SL) into target language (TL). Translation is the changing of one language into other language (Webster, 1984). Translation involves a process of language transmitting that turns out to be problematic for students in understanding the meaning of each word. This research is done to know more about the effective approaches in translation for diploma students. The data is taken from diploma students. The data is obtained qualitatively by giving test, recording, and drilling. The purpose of this study is observing students" comprehension in dealing with word sentences approaches and translation meaning of reading text. This research uses two approaches, namely (1) sentence by sentence translation approach and (2) transitional text analysis. Hopefully, those approaches can help the students" understanding of translation.
The independent learning curriculum is a new curriculum that is being promoted by the Minister of Education and Culture at this time. Many teachers are still adjusting this new curriculum. This study aims to elaborate on the implementation of technology and vocational education management in Vocational High Schools (SMK) Surabaya in the face of an independent learning curriculum. Using this type of qualitative research so that the data produced is descriptive. Data sources obtained from principals and representatives of various fields (student affairs, curriculum, facilities and infrastructure) as well as teachers along with supporting documents. Collecting data using interview, documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis is carried out after collecting all the supporting data, then the data is reduced, played data to conclusions. This research was conducted at one of the SMK Surabaya odd semester TP. 2022/2023. From this research, it can be produced that the curriculum used by SMK Surabaya is an independent learning curriculum. In the implementation of education management, this curriculum has not found weaknesses or advantages because it has only been running for a few months. So the author gives advice to use and pay attention to swot analysis in order to get better data.
Abstrak. Jumlah entrepreneur Indonesia masih 3.1% dari total penduduk. Padahal di negara maju minimal 14% penduduknya entrepreneur. Untuk itu, pemerintah melalui berbagai program berupaya keras mempercepat pengembangannya. Salah satu diantaranya adalah melalui Program Pengembangan Kewirausahaan (PPK) yang dilaksanakan di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi, termasuk Universitas Negeri Surabaya (unesa). Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan pengalaman praktis Unesa melaksanakan PPK yang meliputi: 1) strategi yang tepat dalam mengembangkan technopreneur; 2) Technopreneursh baru yang berhasil dikembangkan; dan 3) Terbentuknya Inkubator wirausaha baru. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan PPK ini adalah metode PALS (Participatory Action Learning System) yang mencakup tiga fase yaitu : 1) awareness); 2) capaciting, dan scaffolding entrepreneurship capacity building, dan (3) institutionalization. Hasil pelaksanaan PPK menunjukkan ; 1) ditemukan strategi baru dalam mengembangkan technopreneur; 2) Sepuluh (10) tenant menjadi technopreneur baru; dan 3) Terbentuknya Pusat Inkubator wirausaha baru di kampus Ketintang. Program PPK ini terlaksana 100% sesuai target. Diucapkan banyak terimakasih kepada DRPM (Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) yang telah berkenan membiayai pelaksanaan program ini.
