Designing tariff systems in public passenger transport is a complex issue of optimization by means of satisfying the wants and needs of all the engaged parties. An integrated passenger transport system (IPTS) stands for the concept of organization and management of public passenger transport based on a uniform tariff system. The issue of transport disadvantage of certain peri-urban and rural areas is the result of poorly organized transport systems. Social and spatial isolation in the framework of mobility is partly the fault of the way in which tariff systems have been designed with no regard to the social factors of the engaged parties for which such systems are designed – its users. Special emphasis in the research of tariff systems is placed on resolving issues of designing tariff zones, maximizing social welfare, transport equity, and transport disadvantage. An outline of the existing research and a review of literature concerning tariffs in integrated passenger transport systems is given, and proposals are put forward for future research due to the need for designing socially beneficial tariff systems, which would eliminate social exclusion, i.e., the transport disadvantage of individuals or parts of society.
Paper deals with the problematic about the information quality impact and the basic methods which can optimize the costs of low quality of using information. First of all, it is important to purify the input data from the inconsistencies and measure the quality of data. This process assures to minimize the reasons that are responsible of poor quality of processes.Targets area of this paper is to identify and minimize the main reasons of delaying the passenger train by comparing years 2012 and 2013. Target groups of passenger trains were divided in three parts responsibilities of delaying -type of train, code of delay, group responsible for the train delay.
Logistics is defined as an interdisciplinary science, which deals with coordination, harmonization, connection and optimization of material, product and service flows including flows of information and finance. The main aim of logistics is to satisfy needs of the customer with importance of quality aspect and optimal costs. The paper is focused on practical logistic problems within the company, its suppliers and customers so overall supply chain is analyzed there. The aim of the paper is to provide practical simulation and calculation of selected logistic examples such as procurement, storage and distribution on case studies. These logistic aspects are analyzed in way, how are they explained to students in university educational process on school subjects that deal with logistics in some case. The simulation of storage process is done with specialized software called Byron, which is also used for educational purposes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
