Has been done community service about dagusibu (get, use, save, and dispose) drugs correctly in Kumain Village, Rokan Hulu District, Riau. This activity is aimed to improve people's understanding in the use of drugs and is a joint effort between lecturers and the community in order to realize awareness, understanding, and community skills in using medicine properly and correctly. Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia on November 13, 2015 proclaimed "Movement of smart society using drugs" as part of efforts to promote, preventive and empower the community in increasing rational drug use. Community service activities will be conducted with socialization / workshop using lecture, discussion and guidance methods. The results of the devotion show that the Kumain Village community's understanding of obtaining, using, storing, and disposing of drugs is properly increased.

<p>Vitamin C ini banyak ditemukan dalam buah-buahan seperti pada buah nanas. Buah nanas dapat diolah menjadi berbagai jenis makanan olahan, salah satunya keripik nanas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh hasil validasi metode analisis vitamin C yang terdapat pada buah nanas dan keripik nanas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Metode ini memiliki nilai validitas yang memenuhi parameter validasi sehingga dapat diterima yaitu pada uji stabilitas pengukuran diperoleh pada menit ke 10 sampai 20. Rata-rata hasil uji akurasi buah nanas segar yaitu 98,4765%, sedangkan pada keripik nanas sebesar 80,7633%. Pada uji presisi dengan konsentrasi 5 ppm nilai SD = 0,0265 dan RSD = 5,8434%, konsentrasi 7 ppm nilai SD = 0,0173 dan RSD = 3,0647%, dan konsentrasi 9 ppm nilai SD = 0,02 dan RSD = 3,0520%. Pada uji linearitas didapatkan hasil regresi linear y = 0,0809 x – 0,1239 dan koefisien korelasinya r = 0,9980. Nilai batas deteksi (LOD) = 0,3708 ppm dan batas kuantitasi (LOQ) = 1,2361 ppm. Rata-rata kadar vitamin C pada buah nanas segar 0,4331%, pada keripik nanas 0,2827%. Metode analisis vitamin C pada buah nanas dan keripik nanas secara spektrofotometri UV-Vis sudah tervalidasi.</p>
Bacterial resistence is one of the global problems both in developed countries and devoloping countries. The high cases of resistence to antibiotics require the discovery of new active substances such as antibiotics agents. Therefore, to prevent the occurence of bacterial resistance to antibacterials need to be developed research in the disovery of new drugs derived from nature one of them is propolis. Propolis is a substance produced by bees to protect the nest from variety of threats, either unfavorable environmental threats or other organism attacks. One of type of bee that produces propolis is Trigona bee ( Trigona spp). The type of chemical compounds contained in propolis are very complex, among others alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, saponin and tannin. This research is laboratory experimental study that aim to determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of Trigona spp bee propolis against Propionibacterium acnes by disc diffusion methode. The concentration of ethanol extract of propolis used was 10 %, 20%, 30 %, 40 % with positif positive using clindamycin. From the result of the research, the inhibitory power of of ethanol extract of Trigona spp bee propolis with concentration 10 %, 20 %, 30 % dan 40 % is 11,7 mm, 12,3 mm, 13,6 mm and 14, 3 mm.
Turmeric (Curcuma domestica) has nutritious compounds called curcuminoids, which can be used as antioxidants. As an antioxidant, C. domestica extract can be used to ward off free radicals that damage collagen and elastin, a protein that keeps skin moist. This study aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of serum combined with the addition of collagen using the DPPH method. The DPPH was made at a concentration of 80 μg/mL, and the absorption was read at a wavelength of 520 nm using a microplate rider. The study was conducted by making six formulations, namely F0, F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5 obtained the results of serum made from C. domestica extract that can inhibit free radicals and meet the physical evaluation test requirements of serum. Furthermore, the formula is made using only one active ingredient and only collagen to determine the antioxidant activity influenced by the extract or collagen. The results obtained indicate that collagen has a supporting role in adding antioxidant activity apart from the extract used. The highest % inhibition value at F5 with 90.526% can be said to ward off free radicals.
