This study aims to reveal the diversity of plants used by the Balinese Ethnic community in Pondok Kelapa District, North Bengkulu which can be developed as a source of learning based on local wisdom in the Higher Plant Taxonomy Course. The research was conducted in Pondok Kelapa District, North Bengkulu Regency using survey methods, plant observations, interviews on plant utilization in Balinese ethnic communities selected by purposive sampling and literature study. Descriptive data analysis. From the results of surveys, observations, interviews and identification to get the Latin name found 2 divisions of plants (Pteridophyta, Magnoliophyta), 56 families, 115 species of plants used for food, board, medicine, ornamental, ritual, spice, dye, protective, firewood, fences, animal feed Taxon A family with many species, successively Araceae (7 species) Arecaceae (5 species), Euphorbiaceae and Zingiberaceae (4 species). The most widely cultivated plants were Cordylene/andong, (80%) Bougainvillea (68%), Curcuma domestica (52%) Cocos nucifera, Musaenda (50%) Manihot/Cassava (42%). The number of plants found in the yard is related to their frequent use in rituals and food needs. Plants that are dominant in terms of taxonomy and presence in the yard can be developed as learning resources in the Plant Taxonomy course.

Cosmetics are a necessity in everyday life. Facial serum is a skin care product that contains a light gel or lotion with a moisturizer that has active ingredients that can penetrate deeper into the skin. UV rays can cause damage to collagen / elastin in the skin, hyperpigmentation, inflammation and dehydration. In addition, it can also damage skin components such as increasing fine lines, wrinkles and brown spots that trigger premature aging. Therefore, antioxidants are needed to ward off free radicals. The purpose of this literature review is to provide information to readers about what plants have the potential as antioxidants in the preparation of facial serum formulas. The method used in this literature review is using database searches in the form of Google Scholar, PubMed and ResearchGate (2010-2021). Based on the results of the literature review, 11 journals were obtained, with various plants including green coffee extract (Coffea canephora Var. robusta), temu giring rhizome extract (Curcuma heyneana), tamarind seeds (Tamarindus indica L.), cocoa pods ( Theobroma cacao L.), red dragon fruit skin (Hylocereus polyrhizus), red algae (E. cottonii), lychee fruit skin (Litchi chinensis Sonn.), wangon leaf (Olax psittacorum (Willd.) Vahl.), green coffee beans ( Coffea robusta L), turmeric rhizome (Curcuma domestica), and plantain (Musa X paradisiaca L.). Of all these types of plants that have antioxidant activity in serum preparations that are classified as very strong, namely green coffee beans (Coffea robusta L.) while the antioxidant activity of the extract category was very strong, namely Lychee (Litchi chinensis Sonn.).
