Mass media should provide constructive information in order to full fill its function as a tool for developing nations. However, mass media usually face a conflict of interest in doing the role, for example in the Indonesian case there is a strong political economy interest of media owner that limiting media’s role as political control. This study sees those is a crucial problem of Indonesian media as it will decrease the quality of Indonesian media and as the consequences, it will lose public trust. By using descriptive qualitative method this article doing a theoretical review to explain the role of Indonesian media in the political communication and how the media doing their role as information and political channel in the political communication process. This study suggests the media do a role called ‘dwifungsi media’ that suggest media to do its function comprehensively.
Most people in Indonesia utilize and cultivate peatlands based on their unwise habits. They clear the peatlands by burning to be planted. If this condition is left alone, it certainly will threaten the existence and sustainability of peatland ecosystems in the future. Therefore, a breakthrough is needed to solve this problem by actively involving all interested parties. In the context of peatland maintenance specifically and environmental preservation efforts in general, the development of peat forests into peat arboretum is very important. Especially if the existence of this peat arboretum can be used as a educational facility managed by the community by applying the concept of education for sustainable development (ESD). Peatland management through the ESD-based Peat Arboretum can be a model in an effort to encourage people to be constructive and creative in facing the challenges of global warming. Moreover, this effort is also expected to create a resilient community in the sustainable management of peatlands.
Citizen-Centric E-Government Public Service. The development of information and communication technology influences various lines of life, including the development of government systems. Currently central and regional governments are intensively using information and communication technology media as public facilities, demands for comprehensive information disclosure, and internet-based public services will affect the bureaucratic system that will come. The development of information and communication technology is too fast developing compared to the development of bureaucracy. The pressure to provide acceptable bureaucracy is increasingly massive, not only in the use of information technology by the government to provide information and services but also provide information and communitybased services. This article explains the role of e-Government in public services, various issues of e-Government in the future, and Citizen-Centric e-Government as a viewpoint of information and communication technology-based public services. To answer these various topics the author uses a literature review approach and raises various case studies from various scientific works related to the topic raised.Abstrak: Citizen-Centric E-Goverment Pelayanan Publik. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi mempengaruhi berbagai lini kehidupan, termasuk perkembangan sistem pemerintahan. Saat ini pemerintah pusat maupun daerah gencar menggunakan media teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sebagai sarana publik, tuntutan terhadap keterbukaan informasi yang menyeluruh, serta layanan publik berbasis internet akan mempengaruhi sistem birokrasi yang akan datang. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi ternyata terlalu cepat berkembang dibanding dengan perkembangan birokrasi. Desakan untuk menyediakan birokrasi yang acceptable semakin masif, tidak hanya pada penggunaan teknologi informasi oleh pemerintah untuk memberikan informasi dan pelayanan melainkan juga memberikan informasi dan pelayanan berbasis masyarakat. Artikel ini menjelaskan peran e-Goverment dalam pelayanan publik, berbagai isu e-Goverment dimasa yang akan datang, dan Citizen-Centric e-Goverment sebagai cara pandang pelayanan publik berbasis teknologi infomasi dan komunikasi. Untuk menjawab berbagai topik tersebut penulis menggunakan pendekatan literatur review serta mengangkat berbagai studi kasus dari berbagai karya ilmiah yang terkait dengan dengan topik yang diangkat.
The development of science and technology is now so rapid, globalization, industrial revolution 4.0, e-Government etc. Affect the functioning of the current bureaucracy, various efforts taken by the government to be able to adapt to changes, bureaucratic reform, good governance and various other approaches focusing on professional institutional development and bureaucratic human resources, until now the approach has continued and continues to look for various approaches that are deemed feasible in increasing the professionalism of bureaucratic human resources, especially at street-level bureaucracy which is directly in contact with the community.Corporate University approach (CU) in increasing the professionalism of street-level bureaucracy, what is offered by the CU approach and how this approach can develop street-level bureaucracy. This study uses the literature review method by paying attention to various scientific works that are considered important to explain the topics raised.
Social media can quickly help people interact with the Government and use technology to turn communication into interactive dialogue. This study looks at Omnibus Law policies from government ethics through social media Twitter hashtag (#) Omnibus law. The method used in this research is qualitative, then data is collected from the Twitter hashtag using Nvivo12 Plus to analyze the data. This study's results reveal that the Hashtag (#) Omnibus Law's effectiveness is proven to be efficient in viewing data analysis through information dissemination on Nvivo12 Plus on Twitter to see policies and responses from the public who use the Hashtag (#) Omnibus Law.
