Family is an important social unit that forming youth identity, but in the other hand family is also a place where contestation happened. Power-relation inside family is commonly happened during several activities such as watching television, having dinner, and prior go to school. The objective of this research is to unmasking the reality of power relation in television watching activities. Qualitative method is used to dissect this phenomenon. In the context of families that only have one television, power relation in watching television is inevitable, especially the prime time, because at this time all family members watch television. This study found that there are several actors who hold important role in power relation, such as Little brother, Grandma, and Father. Their domination have made rural youth become marginalized on their own house
Community empowerment is one of the keys to success in running development of a region. The empowerment program carried out with models, shapes and different strategies. The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) Determine the perception of the implementation of communication channels and approaches to communications made in the program CSR companies. (2) Analyze the influence of the characteristics of the beneficiaries, and the communication channel communication approach CSR program the company towards community empowerment. The samples used in this study were 410 respondents. This study is designed as a quantitative research boosted by the approach of a qualitative study using descriptive analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this study include: (1) Perception of beneficiaries for variables communication channels, communication approach and community empowerment approach is generally considered good. (2) The variables that affect the community empowerment are approach communication and communication channels, while the characteristics of the beneficiaries had no significant effect.
Program Tanggung Jawab Sosial (TJS) perusahaan menjadi salah satu ukuran kepedulian perusahaan terhadap masyarakat sekitar perusahaan yang selanjutnya menjadi aspek penting dalam keberdayaan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian secara khusus adalah (1) Mengetahui persepsi penerapan saluran komunikasi dan pendekatan komunikasi yang dilakukan dalam program TJS perusahaan. (2) Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang membentuk karakteristik penerima manfaat. (3) Menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik penerima manfaat, saluran komunikasi dan pendekatan komunikasi program TJS perusahaan terhadap keberdayaan masyarakat. Lokasi penelitian adalah Desa lulut, Kabupaten Bogor dengan ukuran sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 74 responden. Penelitian ini didesain menggunakan metode campuran (mix method) dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan structural equation model (SEM). Hasil dari penelitian ini meliputi : (1) Persepsi responden terhadap peubah saluran komunikasi secara umum dinilai baik, sedangkan untuk pendekatan komunikasi dan keberdayaan masyarakat secara umum dinilai buruk. (2) faktor -faktor yang membentuk kareakteristik penerima manfaat adalah pendidikan dan status sosial. (3) Peubah yang mempengaruhi keberdayaan masyarakat adalah pendekatan komunikasi dan saluran komunikasi, sedangkan karakteristik penerima manfaat berpengaruh terhadap saluran komunikasi.
The phenomenon of the high number of rural-youth migration from rural areas need to be studied from the perspective on how the agricultural livelihood is constructed by actors within the village. This research tries to focus on how rural-youth interpret messages on television about agricultural livelihood. Previous studies have explained that there are several things that can cause youth in the village to migrate out of the village. This study aims to (1) identify the characteristics of youth in Ciasmara Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency, (2) Rural-youth Exposure in watching television. (3) Perceptions of rural youth on agricultural information representations on television. This research was conducted in Ciasmara village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency from March 2020 to August 2020 using quantitative research methods with a descriptive-comparative approach. 120 youth were selected as research samples. This research found that some of rural-youth in Ciasmara village admitted to having watched agricultural programs on television either on the news or in other programs in the last six months. The types of agricultural information that rural-youth in Ciasmara village have watched are mostly related to cultivation, harvest failure, pest attacks, and low agricultural prices.
This study aimed to identify the characteristic of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news, the factor of morning-daily profession welfare, the perception of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news and the relation between factor of profession welfare with the perception of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news. The used method of this study was quantitative descriptive correlational. The used theory is Rakhmat perception theory. This study was done by spreading the questionnaire to 26 morning-daily journalists of Radar Bogor news. The used sampling technic was non-probability sampling. The analyzing data technic were statistical descriptive and statistical inferential analysis. The used counting methods of this study used the testing correlation with the formulas Ordinal Rank Spearman and Pearson Chi Square for the nominal data, for processing the data were by using SPSS 22.0 and validity testing by using the formulas of Pearson Product Moment. Validity and reliability testing stated that valid and reliable. The result of relational testing between variable was known that the relation (X1) as characteristic of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news and variable (Y) as the perception of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news stated that really unrelated. Then the result of relation testing between variable (X2) as factor of profession welfare with the perception of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news with the variable (Y) as the perception of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news stated that really unrelated. As for the result of this study related to the perception of morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news against profession welfare obtained data that morning-daily journalist of Radar Bogor news gave the positive perception against the factor of profession welfare.Key words: journalist, perception, the factor of profession welfare
Berkembangnya konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan membuat pelaksanaan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan menjadi lebih intens. Perkembangan tersebut membuat munculnya perubahan tren topik mengenai tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk: (1) Mengetahui topik paling banyak dibahas mengenai penelitian tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, (2) Mengetahui pemetaan jaringan antar kata kunci mengenai penelitian tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, dan (3) menemukan peluang rekomendasi penelitian mengenai tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan pada masa mendatang. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan bibliometrik melalui analisis co-occurrence. Penelitian dilakukan pada pangkalan data ProQuest dengan populasi sebanyak 57 artikel ilmiah dan tujuh artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi persyaratan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, berdasarkan temuan tren kata kunci, pelaksanaan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan banyak dilaksanakan berkaitan dengan isu sosial dan isu lingkungan dengan fokus pada penguatan external perusahaan.
Analysis of Media Dependency Relations with Student Political Participation at the Indonesian Lawyers Club Program on Tv One" (Case of Political Science Students of the Jakarta Institute of Social and Political Sciences). The objectives of the study were (1) Analyzing how students were exposed to the Indonesia Lawyers Club program on Tv One, (2) Analyzing how the political participation of students in Indonesia Lawyers Club program on Tv One, (3) Analyzing the relationship between Indonesia Lawyers Club program on Tv One and political participation of students. This research is a quantitative that produces statistical data using quantitative descriptive methods. Data used questionnaire method or questionnaire and literature study. The population and sample in this study were political science students from the Jakarta Institute of Social and Political Sciences who had watched Indonesia Lawyers Club on Tv One with accidental sampling. The research instrument tested the validity of the Pearson Product Moment reliability with Cronbach's Alpha. Data analyzed technique used is the average score and correlation test. The results show that: (1) In the media discontinuation variable the duration indicator of the majority of respondents watching Indonesia Lawyers Club 10-20 minutes in one watch. (2) Indicator of frequency of watching Indonesian Lawyers Club, the majority of respondents watch twice a month. (3) There is a significant relationship between media exposure and student political participation which is obtained by Pearson Product Moment correlation test for ratio, interval and ordinal data.Keywords: media dependency, political participation, relationships
