Tendo em vista o crescimento do número de pessoas infectadas pelo mosquito Aedes aegypit, na cidade de Campina Grande e principalmente nos bairros periféricos, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo desenvolver ações educativas de prevenção e combate da dengue na E.E.E.F.M. Major Veneziano Vital do Rêgo, situado no bairro Acácio Figueiredo, um dos bairros afetados pela dengue. Desta forma, realizaram-se ações alternativas de combate à dengue, iniciado com um questionário diagnóstico que foi aplicado a 120 alunos do turno da noite sobre o mosquito. Logo após, desenvolveram-se práticas educativas nas aulas de ciências/biologia com os alunos, na produção de medidas preventivas (elaboração de uma cartilha explicativa, confecção de repelentes caseiros) para promover a conscientização sobre o tema. De acordo com os resultados obtidos, os alunos demonstraram ter conhecimento sobre o mosquito causador da dengue, suas formas de transmissão e prevenção. Em seguida, foram produzidos repelentes caseiros, cartilha informativa, além do que contaram com a exibição de vídeos educativos, promovendo a conscientização sobre o problema. As alternativas de combate ao mosquito transmissor implicaram numa mudança de comportamento dos alunos frente ao problema, na medida em que passaram a se preocupar não apenas com a escola, mas com suas casas e o próprio bairro. Pode-se concluir que ao expor os alunos a situações concretas sobre os problemas causados pela dengue, eles passaram a ter uma visão ampla sobre a realidade em que vivem, tornando-se protagonistas nas ações de mobilização e combate ao mosquito Aedes aegypti.
Resumo No mundo de economia capitalista, estabelecimentos necessitam hoje, mais do que sempre de recursos para interligar, aperfeiçoar, facilitar e sustentar suas operações. Com isso, buscou-se verificar se havia de fato, sistemas de informações contábeis (SICs) integrados nos grandes hotéis de João Pessoa, capital da Paraíba e se os mesmos ofertam benefícios aos profissionais que os utilizam, tendo em vista que tais sistemas, eventualmente tenham conduzido e tornado as informações mais seguras e ágeis. Para tanto, realizou-se um estudo de campo, do tipo exploratório, de abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, com aplicação de questionários e entrevistas, direcionados aos hotéis que apresentam mais de 100 (cem) quartos, que foi o critério de seleção utilizado. O universo da pesquisa, foi de 8 (oito) hotéis. Quanto ao principal objetivo, que era o de verificar a utilização dos sistemas e tecnologias de informações, para facilitar o trabalho dos funcionários e garantir a sustentabilidade das empresas, apurou-se que a maioria dos entrevistados (87,5%) respondeu afirmativamente à questão. Com a indagação se "há uma redução significativa dos custos das operações, após a implementação dos sistemas integrados de informações", 62,5%, ou seja, 5 (cinco) dos 8 (oito) respondentes concordaram, havendo consenso então da real necessidade de aplicação, implantação, execução e entendimento dos sistemas e tecnologias de informações contábeis dentro dos hotéis em João Pessoa, para melhoria não só da qualidade, mas do custo das operações em geral, fazendo com que os estabelecimentos garantissem a sua sustentabilidade. Contudo, nessa pesquisa percebeu-se que os sistemas de informações (SI) trouxeram benefícios e melhorias aos seus usuários, direta e indiretamente.
