El diseño en la actualidad se encuentra inserto dentro de múltiples escenarios de complejidad que requieren de profesionales de fuerte conocimiento de las implicancias de su disciplina y de una amplia capacidad reflexiva. La inclusión del Diseño para la Transición (Irwin, Kosoff y Tonkinwise, 2015) propuesto por la Universidad Carnegie Mellon a nivel de posgrado, en la currícula de la Maestría en Gestión del Diseño UP, ha permitido “dar inicio” a la necesaria valoración de una mirada sistémica del diseño, haciendo foco sobre la relación Sociedad-Ambiente-Economía, que amplifican y expanden los marcos tradicionales del tratamiento académico del Diseño en la región.
Asistimos a una emergencia del cuerpo en la sociedad contemporánea, que puede asumirse como un espacio de reconceptualización. La posmodernidad viene reescribiendo una iconografía y estética particular del cuerpo en torno a la imagenmercancía, que impacta sobre las distintas variables de lo social, ficcional, performá- tico y fashionable, que traducen la construcción de la identidad de lo individual y de lo colectivo. El diseño y en particular de indumentaria han decodificado y creado sobre la relación que guardan los productos con el cuerpo, siendo necesario también reflexionar sobre las distintas visiones de esa relación compleja y no siempre sostenible. El diseño en la sociedad posindustrial tiene nuevos capítulos interdisciplinarios por resolver, que signan el presente y el futuro de la disciplina.
La presente publicación es el cuarto Cuaderno de la Línea de investigación Nº4 Diseño en Perspectiva, Escenarios del Diseño, y pertenece al Proyecto Nº4 denominado Visiones del Diseño: Problematizar el Diseño para comprender su complejidad. Continúa el camino de reflexión e investigación vinculado al Programa Transition Design de la Universidad Carnegie Mellon, dentro de la Maestría en Gestión del Diseño-UP junto con sus acciones de publicación conjunta y dirección compartida que abre un cuarto período de estudio de la implementación de la Experiencia. Continúa las indagaciones desarrolladas en Visiones del Diseño (a) El Diseñador como agente de cambio (Cuaderno 80. Di Bella, 2018: 173-239) y (Cuaderno 73. Irwin y Di Bella, 2018); y (b) Diseñadores Eco-Sociales, y la exploración de lentes potencialmente útiles para el desarrollo de visiones de futuros sostenibles (Thackara, 2005: 1-8; Lockton y Candy, 2018) y (Cuaderno 87. Di Bella, 2019: 55-104). La escala de los problemas de Diseño está cambiando, se está corriendo de manera cada vez más veloz del nivel de los objetos y las cosas (utilitarios), como de su aspecto más decorativo (estilismo) ya que las urgencias y desafíos de la sostenibilidad –entendida en todas sus dimensiones– están demandando al Diseño y los Diseñadores, nuevas metodologías de abordaje que permitan anticipar mejores escenarios.
Experiencia Diseño en Perspectiva: Diseño para la Transición 2° Informe de Impacto (2018-2022) contiene un informe del impacto social, retrospectivo y continuo del lapso 2018-2022, de la implementación de la temática Diseño para la Transición dentro del Posgrado en Diseño, en la asignatura Diseño IV de la Maestría en Gestión del Diseño de la Facultad de Diseño y Comunicación, Universidad de Palermo, Argentina. Arroja datos relativos a la Cadena de Valor del Impacto Social que adquirió en su segundo período en estudio junto con aportes descriptivos, documentales y estratégicos de la experiencia, que permiten consolidar y robustecer el camino de reflexión e investigación vinculado al Programa Transition Design-CMU, dentro de la Maestría en Gestión del Diseño-UP -que esta prestigiosa Universidad desarrolla a nivel de Doctorado y Maestría en EEUU- junto con sus acciones de publicación conjunta y dirección compartida, que abre un nuevo lapso de estudio de la implementación iniciada en 2014.
Este trabajo se define como un estudio exploratorio tendiente a delinear los contenidos del programapara una carrera de arte tecnomedial y/o electrónico en Argentina. Surgirá del análisis de la situación delhombre y la cultura contemporánea, de valorar las razones por la que los artistas ingresan a los mediacomo soporte expresivo y constitutivo de creación de la obra de arte; y de la evaluación del relevamientode las propuestas teóricas y prácticas, del ámbito educativo y de la cultura, del medio local y el internacional que vienen definiendo el recorte de campo. La obra de arte de media adquiere a través del soporte,cualidades técnicas y expresivas que son propias de la materialidad, es decir del “dispositivo”, traslada alcampo del arte atributos de la topología de la interface y de la comunicación, que lo define como un artemediado y mediático. Se inscribe en las prácticas del arte conceptual y su generación experimental lejosde ser estática, propone un universo relativo como variable fija del sistema.
