L’auteur part du constat que le même jeune dit « violent » peut être signalé comme dangereux dans une institution alors qu’il aura été repéré comme en danger au départ d’un signalement. Il convient donc de garder toujours en mémoire le fait que le jeune est à la fois « victime » et « délinquant » sans chercher à nier l’une ou l’autre des dimensions. Le travail en devient plus complexe mais avec la possibilité d’un travail de transfert avec lui et une responsabilisation ou une prise de conscience des actes commis par l’adolescent. Il y faut aussi une condition : l’institution doit accepter une souplesse pour mener des expériences à bien, ce qui est loin d’être un acquis facile à rencontrer.

À partir de deux vignettes cliniques d’adolescents rencontrés en Maison d’Enfants à Caractère Social, nous montrons l’importance du contre-transfert culturel et de l’écoute à plusieurs niveaux dans l’élaboration de la charge émotionnelle à travers le processus créateur.
