The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of phubbing on the decline in the value of student social solidarity in the millennial era (an environment because it is more focused on gadgets) in library and information science students at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research variable consists of one independent variable, namely: Phubbbing (X) and the binding variable, namely: a decrease in the value of student Social Solidarity in the Millennial era (Y). The sampling technique used was technique sampling with a total of 111 students, while the samples were 87 students. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis test using the mean formula and the results of the derivative of the grand mean of the variable (X), it is categorized well with a mean value of 3.2. While the variable (Y) is categorized as good with an average value of 2.89. The result of the product moment correlation test, that the large correlation coefficient between variable (X) and variable (Y) obtained a result of 0.711, the coefficient interval between 0.80-1000 shows a very strong influence, where the direction of the influence is positive because the R value shows a number positive. The simple regression results for variable (X) and variable (Y) Y = 10.553 + 0, 802X and R Square for 0.711 means that the effect of variable (X) with variable (Y) is 52.20%. Other factors outside this study amounted to 48.80%.
Pengembangan literasi informasi bagi masyarakat nagari merupakan salah satu peluang yang harus bisa dimaksimalisasikan oleh pemerintahan nagari. Berdasarkan hasil curah pendapat (brainstorming) yang dilakukan oleh tim pemberdayaan Fakultas Ushuludin, adab dan dakwah dengan pemerintahan nagari Tabek yang melibatkan berbagai lembaga unsur yang ada di nagari Tabek. Ditemukan berbagai persoalan-persoalan yang dihadapi oleh pemerintahan nagari Tabek diantaranya adalah kesulitan dalam merumuskan program pembangunan perpustakaan nagari, rendahnya partisipasi lembaga unsur dan masyarakat dalam pembagunan perpustakaan nagari, belum tersedianya bangunan khusus untuk perpustakaan nagari, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat tentang pentingnya perpustakaan nagari dan belum adanya inisiatif masyarakat untuk meningkatkan literasi informasi melalui pengembangan perpustakaan. Kegiatan ini terbentukanya komunitas Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) dan struktur organisasi dari komunitas TBM di Nagari Tabek, serta pembuatan program-program berdasarkan jangka pendek, jangka menengah, dan jangka panjang yang telah mampu memenuhi kegiatan bidang pengabdian masyarakat. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan agar aspek literasi informasi khususnya pengelolaan taman baca dapat berjalan dengan baik dan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kemakmuran masyarakat.
Critical thinking is the mother of life. Critical thinking skills are one of the fundamental skills in the modern era. This study aims to examine the effect of the guided discovery model on students' critical thinking skills. This study uses an experimental method with a one group pree-test-post-test design with a population of IAIN Batusangkar students taking the sociology of religion course. The sample was determined by random sampling technique with a sample of 28 people. Data were collected using a scale-shaped instrument. Data processing with the help of SPSS .05 application. Prerequisite tests were carried out before data analysis, namely normality test and homogeneity test. Analyzed data using paired sample t test. The results showed the guided discovery model had a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills and it was proven that there was a significant difference between students' critical thinking skills before and after the application of the guided discovery model. The criteria for the significance of the results of the study were strengthened by the N-Gain value the data before and after treatment which was in the very good category.
This paper discusses the qualitative study of the role of reading gardens in increasing community creativity in the city of Padang Panjang. The aim is to find out if there is an increase in community creativity with the Rimba Bulan TBM in Padang Panjang City. The research method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the existence of the reading garden plays a very important role in the community, the community can develop skills through activities held by TBM Rimba Bulan. From these activities, the community can increase their creativity with curiosity and many people ask questions in participating in the activities held by TBM
