ResumenSe realiza un estudio sobre el tipo de alimentos, atendiendo a su contenido nutricional, presentes en la publicidad infantil. Se describe cómo se muestran atendiendo a reclamo, horario de comida, información adicional y contexto. La metodología empleada es el análisis de contenido de 133 spots de alimentos dirigidos a niños emitidos en España en el año 2006. Alimentos poco saludables que utilizan como reclamo los premios/regalos, se muestran solos, fuera de las cinco comidas recomendadas y con el protagonista disfrutando de su consumo son los principales resultados de la investigación.Palabras clave: Publicidad; niños; alimentación; tipo de producto; contenido nutricional Food advertising targeted to children: a study on type product Abstract This research studies the type of food product, based on nutritional content, on advertising targeted to children. It describes the claim, lunch time, aditional information and context. The methodology is content analysis of 133 food commercials aimed at children broadcasted in Spain in 2006. Unhealthy foods, claims about prizes / gifts, products presented in isolation and out of the five recommended meals, and protagonist enjoying of the consumption to the product are the main results of the research. La categoría de producto y el mensaje transmitido en la publicidad infantil de alimentosThe product category and the message informed in food children's advertising Resumen: El presente artículo, contextualizado bajo la preocupación de la obesidad infantil y la acusación que desde numerosos sectores se ejerce sobre la publicidad, ha pretendido desarrollar un marco teórico donde se expusieran las investigaciones que sobre el binomio publicidad infantil de alimentos -obesidad se han realizado; así como aquellas donde se dejaba evidencia de la limitada influencia que la misma podía realizar sobre el menor en lo concerniente a consumo de alimentos, y los numerosos factores necesarios para poder hablar de causantes directos de la problemática de la obesidad. El objetivo sobre el que subyace el trabajo trata de analizar los tipos de productos que más presión publicitaria ejercen así como los mensajes sobre los que versa su estrategia comunicativa para así poder observar si realmente la publicidad infantil está copada por productos poco saludables o recomendables en la dieta del menor y observar qué tipo de temática comunicativa impregna este tipo de productos.Palabras clave: Publicidad infantil; alimentación; categoría de productos; marcas; mensaje publicitario. Abstract:This article explains the worry about children obesity and the accusation that many sectors exert on advertising.Furthermore, it tries to develop a theoric framework in order to set out the researches, which have been done, about food children's advertising and its connection with obesity. In adittion to this, the article talks about other researches which prove the restricted influence advertising exerts on children as regards food consumption and the factors which are necessary to affirm that there are direct causes to provoke obesity. The purpose of this essay is to analyze what type of product category exerts more advertising pressure and what kind of messages are used. This analysis will expound if children's advertising is really surrounded by non healthy products or, however, by advisable ones in a child's diet. Finally, it will also expound which communicative subjects are found in this kind of products.
Autorregulación en la publicidad de alimentos para niños a través de PAOS: un estudio internacional Resumen La inexperiencia de los niños ante los mensajes publicitarios hace que desde diversos ámbitos se fomente la autorregulación, con el fin de protegerlos de sus eventuales efectos nocivos. En España, la publicidad del sector de alimentación dirigida al público infantil se encuentra autorregulada por el Código PAOS. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar, mediante análisis de contenido, similitudes y diferencias entre PAOS y otros códigos internacionales. Los resultados muestran que la preocupación por el tema se manifiesta no solo en el desarrollo de códigos específicos para el público infantil, sino también para otros sectores, y que las discrepancias entre los códigos están determinadas por las exigencias requeridas a la publicidad en Internet. AbstRAct Children's lack of experience before advertising messages makes selfregulation an important topic for diverse agents in the industry, in order to protect children against the potentially dangerous effects of ads. In Spain food advertising focused in children is self-regulated by PAOS Code. The aim of this article is to identify, by content analysis, similarities and differences between PAOS and other international codes. The resultsshow the concern about this topic is not only expressed in specific codes for children, but also in codes for other audiences, and that discrepancies between codes are determined by requisites of the online advertising.
Resumen:Esta investigación estudia el uso de Facebook por parte de los estudiantes de primero de grado de Publicidad y RR.PP (Universidad de Alicante) para el aprendizaje de la asignatura Comunicación y Medios Escritos. La metodología empleada es la encuesta, realizada a 76 alumnos durante el mes de Enero de 2013. Los resultados muestran una mejora del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. La red social sirve para compartir materiales, prácticas y resolver dudas, incentivando el aprendizaje colaborativo. Los alumnos coinciden en el beneficio que supone el uso de Facebook para aprender la materia.Palabras clave: Facebook; redes sociales; enseñanza-aprendizaje; docencia universitaria Facebook as an educational tool in the university context Abstract:This research studies the use of Facebook by students in first course of Advertising Communication and Public Relations (University of Alicante) to learn the subject Communication and Media Writings. The methodology used is the survey of 76 students during the month of January 2013. The results show an improvement of the teaching-learning process. The social media used to share materials, practices and answer questions encouraging collaborative learning. Students agree that the benefit involves the use of Facebook to learn the subject.
