Abstract:The aim of the present study is to examine and evaluate the evolving character of sustainability management in corporations, the significance of environmental protection and sustainability, and barriers to carrying out an incorporated and strategic firm-wide advance of social responsibility. In the present paper, we focus on the contribution of sustainability undertakings towards enhancing corporate performance, the financial involvements of sustainability position and operation, and the chief function of values in corporate policy. Our paper contributes to the literature by supplying proof of elements that lead to the triumph of business patterns for sustainable development, processes through which stakeholders are affecting corporate sustainability conduct, and the link between economic growth and the environment.
Research background: The concept of sustainable development had as its starting point the global ecological crisis 1929-1933 and was later developed by encompassing all economic and social and human spheres, reaching that today, sustainable development is the new path of humanity. Sustainable development has been conceived as a solution to the ecological crisis determined by the intense industrial exploitation of resources and the continuous degradation of the environment and seeks first of all to preserve the quality of the environment. Sustainable development promotes the concept of reconciling economic and social progress without endangering the natural balance of the planet. Purpose of the article: The objective of this paper is to highlight the trends determined by the current health crisis. Methods: The main research method is the bibliographic study doubled by a secondary documentary analysis that allowed us to identify both the historical evolution of the concept and the detachment of current trends. Findings & Value added: All these concepts take on a new meaning in the current pandemic context and the trend seems to be man’s return to nature and villages, perhaps determined by home isolation as the central method imposed by most countries in the fight against Coronavirus.
Spatial development refers to developed areas and least developed, how it can be done better link between them and the manner in which less developed areas can catch up with the former. Every country that has reached the stage of development was faced, first, with differences of procedure. The fact that some regions grow faster is a good thing because it allows a faster global growth, a challenge for lagging regions and generate resources for solving the problems facing the country. For a more extensive development, attention should move from region to citizens. Decision makers should not focus on poorly developed areas, but on people living in these areas. Regions and economies are as strong as the people who live in them, and if these people will have access to opportunities and regions have. Generally, people are more productive when they are involved in activities that make them happy. Most often, underdeveloped regions cannot offer such opportunities. The role of public institutions is to facilitate citizens' access to opportunities, both at home and abroad and to support disadvantaged groups who lack access to opportunities like the rest of the population. This paper provides an overview of poorly developed regions in Romania and shows how residents of these areas can move closer to living standards and opportunities for those in developed areas.
Much of the literature focusing on organizational change suggests that changes often fail because of employees' resistance. This resistance is caused by their personal fears that change will affect them in any way. Employees are often afraid of changes that could lead to changes in comfortable social dynamics and to additional, less desirable or even more difficult tasks. The proliferation of new technologies brings new challenges but also concerns about job stability. Our paper addresses the issue of human resources development from e-government perspective and presents some features that could be considered when promoting technologies especially in sensitive areas such as public administration. The methodology of research aimed at measuring and interpreting a set of economic, technical and social aspects present in public organizations in Romania. The research findings show how HR is transforming into the digital era and what one might consider to bridge the gap between knowing and doing what is needed to put technology together with the latest processes and skills for a sustainable development of human resources.
