ResumoO objetivo deste estudo foi estimar a prevalência de sintomatologia músculo-esquelética relacionada ao trabalho e sua relação com qualidade de vida em bancários do Meio Oeste Catarinense. Realizou-se um estudo transversal envolvendo todos os bancários (N = 263) das agências existentes nos 13 municípios da região. Aplicou-se questionário abordando questões de ordem sociodemográfica, de trabalho e referentes aos sintomas músculo-esqueléticos. Para as questões de qualidade de vida, utilizou-se o questionário WHOQOL-Bref. O relato de sintomatologia músculo-esquelética foi a variável dependente. Procedeu-se análise de regressão logística múltipla para testar a associação entre as variáveis do estudo. A prevalência de sintomatologia músculo-esquelética foi de 72,8%. Os bancários com posição não alternada de trabalho apresentaram prevalência 20% [RP 1,20 (IC95% 1,02-1,41)] (p = 0,029) maior de sintomatologia músculo-esquelética comparada a seus colegas que trabalhavam em posições alternadas. A inexistência de pausa na jornada diária mostrou-se associada à ocorrência, obtendo-se uma prevalência 31% [RP 1,31 (IC95% 1,06-1,61)] (p = 0,011) maior de sintomatologia músculo-esquelética em comparação aos bancários que tinham pausa. O estudo de correlação entre o número de sintomas músculo-esqueléticos e os aspectos da qualidade de vida mostrou correlações negativas fracas nos domí-nios psíquico, social e ambiental.
