School is both time and space of experience and citizenship. Students as individuals
AbstractThe school is a place of exercise, by action or by detachment, of teen citizenship and can be characterized by cohesion between its actors, namely between teachers and students. It is intended to analyse eventual relationships of different dimensions of citizenship with indicators of the status recognized to the student in the communication between school actors and with the school cohesion. The sample consists of 2040 students from Lisbon and Oporto. The dimensions of citizenship present very significant relationships with the school cohesion and with the students' status in the communication with teachers and peers. Keywords: Students, Citizenship, School Cohesion, Communication.
