ABSTRACTThis article analyse the process of development of virtual education in the higher education sector in Latin America moving toward a focus on the impact of new technologies on the modalities of distance education and how they are contributing a new process of differentiation of both general education and distance education in particular assuming a multimodality. The article displays the types of institutional manifestations of what is defined as a process despresencializacion of higher education, and identifies a proposal of the most dominant of these trends is the expansion of distance education in the region.

AbstractThe main goal of this dissertation is to describe the gradual processes used by György Ligeti in its work Ten pieces for wind quintet (1968). Through this description we try to put in evidence the gradual processes as an important tool in the construction of the Ten pieces' language. The analysis of the Ten pieces considers different parameters or aspects of the composition: melodic motion, harmony, timbre, density, rhythmic structure. We also observe minimal transformations of materials, movements of pitches by proximity or contiguity and treatment of different elements by addition. This study demonstrates that the procedure of progressive transformations is not used by Ligeti in a linear form. The gradual processes must be understood in a flexible way. The motion generated by literal gradual steps exist, but generally they are part of a process that attempts to dissimu...
Abstract: In this article we make an analysis of the first three sections (or sound fields) of György Ligeti's work Atmosphères (1961). We study the relationship between pitches, the processes of symmetry, gradation, illusion and the harmonic layers generated by intensity changes. We make an interpretation of this work based on the idea of gradation. This concept, developed by the author, is inspired on similar ideas taken from different fields of human knowledge, like Rhetoric, Linguistics, Literature, Visual Arts and Music itself.O conceito de gradação tem sido utilizado em diversos campos do conhecimento humano. Vejamos, brevemente, alguns exemplos.
