The present paper, taking Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) Library as an example, investigates the users' degree of importance and the performance provided by the library. This study explores overall user satisfaction as well. A questionnaire survey is conducted to reveal users' perspectives on service quality. Based on literature, service quality has five dimensions, which are tangibles, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy. The results indicate that the overall service quality has a significantly positive effect on overall user satisfaction. Among these five dimensions except responsiveness, all of them have a significantly positive effect on overall user satisfaction. In addition, the top five important service quality features ranked by users are: collections, loaning and returning service, overall atmosphere, electronic database system, and online reservation and renewal. Furthermore, the perceived importance of service quality dimensions has no significant difference among institutes and status.
There has been a link between nutrition styles and human health and physical features for centuries. Similarly, there has been a connection between the easiness and difficulty to reach food materials, and shortage and abundance of these material and human behaviors and moral structure. One of the efforts to make a connection between these qualifications comes from Ibn Khaldun. A thinker of Islam, Ibn Khaldun, who lived in the 18 th century, stated that moral characteristics and physical features in the communities which are deprived of food materials are higher than those of the communities having a wealthy living. According to him, overeating leads to the accumulation of harmful wastes in the body and thus to the deterioration of both physical and mental health of human being. Therefore, eating abundant food materials might not result in positive results for man. In the current study, it was investigated how the opportunities of reaching abundant food and types of nutrition affected human health in general and moral structure in Ibn Khaldun.
In the information explosion era with constant changes of information, educators have promoted various effective learning strategies for students adapting to the complex modern society. The impact and influence of traditional teaching method have information technology integrated modern instruction and science concept learning play an important role. Teaching methods promoted in guided discovery instruction are to cultivate learners' abilities of discovery, exploration, problem-solving and independent thinking, and creation and invention through discovery or creative learning. Students could actively and positively participate in learning and integrate and construct knowledge by themselves. In other words, all knowledge is individually operated and explained, rather than passively acquired. By applying quasi-experimental research with experimental design, 98 students in two classes in Fuzhou No.1 Middle School and Affiliated High School of Fujian Normal University are preceded the 16-week (3hr per week) experimental teaching research. The research results reveal that 1. Guided discovery instruction would affect learning achievement, 2.guided discovery instruction would influence learning retention, and 3.learning achievement presents significantly positive effects on learning retention. Based on the research results, conclusions and suggestions are proposed at the end of this study, expecting to provide reference and improvement for teachers' teaching method.
Since the popular applications of information technology, digitalized materials, media, and equipment have become the essential abilities and instruments for teachers in modern education. In addition to some curricula requiring computing & reasoning and operation & demonstration, the situations of teachers utilizing transparencies, films, and network communications present that digitalized materials have become the mainstream teaching instruments. Creative Thinking Instruction is also largely promoted in school education that various creative teaching strategies are created. Such teaching strategies or models aim to develop and cultivate students' creative teaching abilities through various effective routes and approaches. The effects of teaching approaches and strategies on students' learning achievements and interests as well as the use of distinct teaching strategies and approaches for the promotion of teaching effectiveness are considered as the research motivation. The quasi-experimental research is preceded with the nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design model, where 104 students in two classes in a national university are selected for the experiment. The research results show that 1.Creative Thinking Instruction presents higher sensitivity than general traditional instruction, 2.Creative Thinking Instruction reveals higher fluency than general traditional instruction, 3.Immersion in virtual reality appears the highest sensitivity on Creative Thinking Instruction, and 4.Interaction in virtual reality presents the highest fluency on Creative Thinking Instruction
