Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a rapid expansion in vaccine research focusing on exploiting the novel discoveries on the pathophysiology, genomics, and molecular biology of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. Although the current preventive measures are primarily socially distancing by maintaining a 1 m distance, it is supplemented using facial masks and other personal hygiene measures. However, the induction of vaccines as primary prevention is crucial to eradicating the disease to attempt restoration to normalcy. This literature review aims to describe the physiology of the vaccines and how the spike protein is used as a target to elicit an antibody-dependent immune response in humans. Furthermore, the overview, dosing strategies, efficacy, and side effects will be discussed for the notable vaccines: BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Gamaleya, and SinoVac. In addition, the development of other prominent COVID-19 vaccines will be highlighted alongside the sustainability of the vaccine-mediated immune response and current contraindications. As the research is rapidly expanding, we have looked at the association between pregnancy and COVID-19 vaccinations, in addition to the current reviews on the mixing of vaccines. Finally, the prominent emerging variants of concern are described, and the efficacy of the notable vaccines toward these variants has been summarized.
Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu unsur penunjang tridarma perguruan tinggi. Sebagai bagian dari akademisi dibidang vokasi, Fakultas Pariwisata Universitas Pelita Harapan mempunyai kewajiban untuk berpartisipasi dalam memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dalam berkreasi dan menginovasikan produk kuliner yang bisa dijadikan ide untuk bejualan ataupun ketahanan pangan. Seitan merupakan olahan yang terbuat dari tepung terigu dan menyerupai daging dan mempunyai kandungan protein tinggi dan sangat cocok diolah dengan resep boga nusantara yaitu woku dan sambal matah. Metode pelatihan dalam bentuk workshop yang dilakukan oleh seorang instruktur secara daring dan para peserta telah dibagikan bahan sesuai resep mengikuti melalui zoom dari dapur masing-masing. Workshop dimulai dari cara membuat seitan hingga proses memasak seitan dengan bumbu woku belanga. Dengan dilakukan workshop maka para binaan umkm mendapatkan wawasan untuk menginovasikan masakan alternatif sebagai pengganti protein hewani dengan cita rasa yang otentik.
Abstrak
Food and Beverage industry is one of industry that is very competitive within each businesses and brands. Every brand and business are using different strategies applied to gain customers based on their market segment and compete with competitors. The growing intensity of competition in the franchise business, such as J’CO, Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Dough Darlings, and so on. Because of this, business owners must pay more attention to the desires of consumers who are diverse, change fast, and of course have different satisfaction values The object of this study was to learn the effect of the J.CO brand identity and brand equity on consumer purchasing. The sample consisted of 200 respondents who had answered a questionnaire about the J.CO brand and the marketing strategy undertaken by J.CO. Respondents were determined using accidental sampling technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand identity and brand equity J.CO Donuts on consumer purchasing decisions. The samples that have been received are then analysed for their answers, starting with descriptive analysis, basic statistics, and regression. After this analysis, the results obtained in the form of J.CO’s brand identity have a significant effect, and the J.CO’s brand equity also has a significant effect. This shows that consumer purchasing decisions are influenced by brand identity and Equity Product.
