This study purpose to find out the student learning outcomes of cognitive aspects by applying guided inquiry based LKS with the help of PhET Interactive Simulations better than the conventional LKS used by schools on the subject of static electricity and dynamic electricity. This research is a quantitative research with Quasy Experimental design and the design of non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study is the students of class IX SMPN 22 Kota Jambi consisting of 5 classes. The sample used in this research is class IX C and as experimental class and class IX D as control class. The experimental class is taught by using guided inquiry LKS and control classes taught with the school's conventional LKS. Research instruments are objective questions that have been tested. This study collected data using multiple choice questions that have been tested in IXA SMPN 16 Muaro Jambi class. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class is 32.62 and the control class is 31.18. obtained the results of research that the value of t is greater than the value ttable with a significance of 0.05. Based on research that has been done tcount equal to 1.71. while the ttable is 1.67. because tcount obtained 1.71 ≥ 1.67 then H0 rejected. This shows that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students using instructional based LSM inquiry with the help of PhET Interactive Simulations and LKS conventional schools.
Research has been carried out to determine the validity and practicality of the sheet using interactive simulations. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of worksheets as a learning tool in research based learning model. The method used is descriptive analysis of quantitative data, the teachers response and the students responses to the questionnaire instrumen. The result showed that the validation of the students worksheet obtained an average score of 0,83 on the aspects of the feasibility of content, presentation, and language. The practical result obtained for the teachers response were 75% with the practical category and 81,70% for students responses with the very practical category. Based on the results of the developed phet assisted worksheets, it is stated that they are valid and practicality used in research based learning to improve the creative thinking skills of students at the high school.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the use of PhET Interactive Simulations student worksheets on students learning outcomes. The method used is the meta-analysis method. Meta-analysis is a technique used to summarize a variety of quantitative research results by finding the value of effect size using a sample of 10 articles in national journals. The results showed average effect size of 1, 117 with a standard deviation of 181,1. The resulting effect size is categorized as medium. Means that the influence of the use of PhET Interactive Simulations student worksheets can improve student learning outcomes by 32,73%.
The purpose of this study is to increase the interest in learning students. This research is a Classroom Action Research that is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle has four stages which include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class XII MIPA 3 which totaled 29 students. Data sources are obtained from teachers and learners by observation, interviews, and documentation. The triangulation method is used to validate the data and analyze the data using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that student’s interest in learning increased from pre-action to cycle II. Indicators of feelings of pleasure and interest in learning increased by 21.55% from pre-action to cycle II, indicators there was active participation increased by 25.00% from pre-action to cycle II, indicators there was a tendency to pay attention and great concentration power increased by 22.50% from pre-action to cycle II, indicators had positive feelings and a willingness to learn that always increased by 26.74% from pre-action to cycle II. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that problem-based bio-entrepreneurship learning can increase the interest in learning students XII MIPA 3 on biotechnology materials.
The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of LKPD assisted by Phet Interactive Simulations in the Research Based Learning model to improve the Creative Thinking Skills of high school students. The research method used is descriptive method using quantitative data sheet LKPD effectiveness seen from students' Creative Thinking Skills. The results of the effectiveness of Creative Thinking Skills obtained 81.17% with the effective category.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
