Soft bots have the expedient ability of adopting intricate postures and fitting in complex shapes compared to mechanical robots. This paper presents a unique in situ UV curing threedimensional (3D) printed multi-material tri-legged soft bot with spider mimicked multi-step dynamic forward gait using commercial bio metal filament (BMF) as an actuator. The printed soft bot can produce controllable forward motion in response to external signals. The fundamental properties of BMF, including output force, contractions at different frequencies, initial loading rate, and displacement-rate are verified. The tri-pedal soft bot CAD model is designed inspired by spider's legged structure and its locomotion is assessed by simulating strain and displacement using finite element analysis. A customized rotational multi-head 3D printing system assisted with multiple wavelength's curing lasers is used for in situ fabrication of tripedal soft-bot using two flexible materials (epoxy and polyurethane) in three layered steps. The size of tri-pedal soft-bot is 80 mm in diameter and each pedal's width and depth is 5 mm×5 mm respectively. The maximum forward speed achieved is 2.7 mm s −1 @ 5 Hz with input voltage of 3 V and 250 mA on a smooth surface. The fabricated tri-pedal soft bot proved its power efficiency and controllable locomotion at three input signal frequencies (1, 2, 5 Hz).

: Currently various studies are underway for dispensing high-viscosity phosphor. These studies have reported limitations and challenges in the dispensing process. The discharged amount of phosphor was approximately the same each time which is important for the implementation of high-efficiency white LED technology. This paper present high-viscosity phosphor dispensing process for white LED implementation by using electrostatic printing technology. The voltage controlled DOD (DropOn-Demand) discharge experiment was studied to determine angle of drop meniscus at nozzle and dot diameter. With increase in Discharge voltage, the discharge angle of meniscus increased while dot diameter decreased. Therefore it can be concluded that we can control the discharge rate by controling the discharge angle of meniscus.

A sensor is a device that has functions of converting physical quantities such as temperature, pressure, acceleration, and displacement into an electrical signal, and is an essential element for constructing a system that can be used for various purposes. For their utilization, those sensors are being developed to have characteristics such as improved performance, size, and special purpose through research, and are widely used in industry. In the mid-2000s, with the development of wireless-based industrial networks, studies on the functional and structural development of sensors for various applications and research on merging them with a wireless network have been conducted. As a result, they have started to be applied throughout the industry and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) including the Internet of Things (IOT). Because of its abilities to compensate the limitations of the general sensor element related to the development of the ICT technology, the smart sensor can be used independently and can monitor a wide range by configuring the network. In addition, it has a micro-controller and can be independently used to control measurements and performances such as data processing, storage, automatic correction, self-diagnosis, making decision and communication. These various types of smart sensors are applied to various fields such as automobiles, mobile devices, robots, environment, defense/security, medical devices, household appliances, and industrial/measuring instruments.Structural health monitoring (SHM) is used to identify, diagnose, and evaluate structures-a wide range or a large number of structures-such as power generation facilities. In this case, the sensor used to evaluate the safety of the structure is used in various applications and it is necessary to have a high performance collection module. Currently, most of the sensors and signal acquisition modules used to monitor the health of structures are high-performance products based on wired lines. Because of measurement processes requiring manpower, there is an unnecessary use of time and money.

This research proposal is based on a novel non-contact technique of micro-sized bead injection process for fabrication of electronic paper display. This non-contact injection process is based on the principle of electrostatic force and uses micro-sized metal-coated beads dispersed in a solution. The dispersion retention times of three different solutions with viscosities of 10 cps, 100 cps, and 1000 cps were measured by optical equipment showing the retention times of 5 mins, 10 mins, and 30 mins respectively. The dispersion retention rate dropped as the time passed. The dispersion retention characteristic of 1000 cps solution was more stable as compared to those of 10 cps and 100 cps meaning that higher viscosity has better retention properties. The experimental results of bead injection at different viscosity levels of the solution were also measured and a stable injection result was achieved by using 1000 cps solution. This results show that stable injection is dependent on solution viscosity and dispersion.
