Depuis 2008, le Centre d'appui au secteur bruxellois d'aide aux sans-abri, nouvellement rebaptisé Bruss'Help 1 , organise une vaste enquête tous les deux ans 2 afin de recenser les personnes sans-abri et mal logées en Région Bruxelles-Capitale. Ce dénombrement vise à établir une « photographie » permettant d'appréhender la distribution des différentes formes d'absence de logement ou de mal-logement sur l'ensemble des dix-neuf communes de la Région. La comparaison de ces enquêtes, conduites selon le même protocole, permet de dégager des évolutions et de mieux cerner un phénomène complexe.

L'article étudie l'ancrage socio-spatial du hip-hop. L'étude de la spatialité des battles et des entrainements de breakdance illustre les transformations contemporaines touchant l'ensemble des pratiques issues de cette culture. La maturité et l'évolution de la base sociale des pratiquants font que le breakdance est, au propre comme au figuré, sorti du ghetto... Il se développe à l'heure actuelle en dehors des zones les plus défavorisées de la ville, au sein de quartiers plus mixtes sur le plan ethnique et socio-économique. Le breakdance continue cependant à éprouver de grandes difficultés à s'insérer dans les circuits traditionnels de diffusion culturelle. La pratique artistique quotidienne reste dans une situation délicate, puisque l'organisation d'entrainements demeure quasiment totalement à l'initiative des pratiquants eux-mêmes, qui doivent souvent développer des stratégies pour mettre en place des lieux informels de pratique. Toutefois, ce type d'appropriation de l'espace public ou semipublic ne se fait pas sans heurts. La méconnais-sance et la relative mauvaise image dont souffre encore la culture hip-hop, ainsi que le statut d'usagers faibles dans les lieux fréquentés, génè-rent des risques d'éviction. Dès lors, ce sont de plus en plus des lieux peu attractifs ou et désertés à certaines heures, typiquement des gares ou des stations de métro, qui sont utilisés.
