greater for the unilateral group at 10.6 (þ1.4) mg/dL compared to 7.6 (þ0.6) mg/dL for bilateral (po0.05). Conclusions: We concluded that unilateral internal iliac artery embolization of the internal iliac artery is just as effective and safe as bilateral internal iliac artery embolization. Based on our results, unilateral embolization in the setting of pelvic trauma is an acceptable conservative approach to the management of patients with hemodynamic instability.
