Global warming and climate change have led to the world energy crisis. While it also leads to the crisis of energy consumption, the main reason is still debatable among the researchers. However, the released of carbon emission in construction field is generally believed has triggered the phenomena and become the primary cause of global warming. It is proven that the building sector contributes to the biggest causes of overheating in the environment. Based on previous research, residential and commercial has reached 20% to 40% of the total energy consumption and this growing trend is still happening. Moreover, the electricity consumption in the building and construction process is the main reason for the growth of carbon emission. Therefore, the stakeholder particularly architects and designer should take an early initiative to overcome the problems. One of the approaches is to predict building performance through simulation in the initial design phase. In line with this, rapid technology development has brought to an alarming situation concerning energy consumption. Passive design is considered as one of the strategies to moderate indoor temperature in a tropical climate. Some studies suggest that the use of natural ventilation is potentially reducing operating costs and produce better thermal and indoor air quality. This study will investigate the optimization process of daylight performace condition that driven by façade components such as balcony size, orientation, openings, layout and louver windows using generative and parametric tools through multi-objectives optimization and generative simulation. The methodology used in this research is generative simulation in parametric platform named Grasshopper sith plugin software ladybug + honey bee. From the simulation it is resulted that Preferred individuals have an illuminance value of 211 test points. The properties owned by these individuals are cantilevered as a canopy at the height of 3 meters, a cantilever or canopy length of 2 meters, the building’s orientation angle to the south is 21 °, and has 32% opening of the total façade surface.
Menopause is the cessation of menstrual cycles in women, the condition of menopause inevitably faced in the life of one woman and a natural process in line with age. Menopause is not a disease or abnormality, menopause occurs at the end of the last menstrual cycle, but the ability is newly acquired if a woman has not experienced her menstruation cycle for at least 12 months, one of the consequences of menopause is a decrease in estrogen hormones and occurs increase in cortisol hormones so that the menopause women tend to be more stressful that can affect the increase in blood pressure or Literature Studies Review a variety of study outcomes on those in naturally menopausal women and may result in hypertension. This Literature review uses a critical review of the full-text article in the last five years that is from 2015-2020 in Bahasa Indonesia and English that meets the criteria of PICO and SPIDER. Search database through Google Scholar, National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, PubMed, Proquest with the keyword; menopause, perimenopause, Hypertension caused by menopause, to get articles that fit the topic and purpose. Further intensified article readings and a summary of each article. In the time of menopause often occurs hypertension in the results of physical activity with exercise yoga and aerobic gymnastics so as not to stress on menopause so as not to cause hypertension, eating healthy foods like the Kedalai watermelon juice can also lower blood pressure and do not make stress on menopause mother. This literature study can be used as a source of information to conduct research related problems of the menopause period
The traditional house of the people of West Lampung consists of 3 (three) main parts, namely the head, body, and legs. However, the current phenomenon is that the foot of the house or under the house has changed. These changes occur due to the development of the number of family members, affecting the increase in private space to living. This study uses a phenomenological method by looking at the phenomena in traditional houses inhabited by the Pekon Hujung community group. Data collection techniques are exploration and direct observation to the field including taking physical measurements of the room and the structure of traditional houses also the function of each room, particularly the space under the house (Kolong), depth interviews with who are considered to know about traditional house information, literature review as a research discussion variable as supporting data and documentation of the of traditional houses’ structures as evidence of the correctness of data or information found in the field for further analysis. The result is discovering the addition of the room’s function under the house into a new space that is mainly prioritized for rest and socializing informally.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
