O leasing constitui uma alternativa para o financiamento de ativos para as entidades, tendo como modalidades operacionais e financeiras. Esse tipo de operação tem causado diversos entraves teóricos, dentre eles, a questão das transações off-balance sheet. Em 2009, o IASB e o FASB, em trabalho conjunto publicaram o Exposure Draft 2010/09 (ED) que promete mudanças relevantes no tratamento de tais operações. Frente a isso, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar os reflexos das mudanças propostas contidas no ED, quanto à capitalização do leasing operacional, nos indicadores de estrutura de empresas do subsetor de transporte listadas na Bovespa. Para isso, utilizou-se a metodologia de simulação das propostas contidas no ED, corroborando as pesquisas anteriores. Depois de efetivada a simulação, procedeu-se com o teste t de Student para amostras emparelhadas, com o intuito de verificar se as mudanças previstas podem causar diferenças significativas nos indicadores testados. As evidências apontam que no ano de 2011, um montante de R$ 3,8 bilhões, referente a contratos de leasing operacional, não transitou pelo Balanço Patrimonial (offbalance sheet) das respectivas empresas. Observou-se ainda que, em média, as empresas da amostra possuem contratos de leasing operacional a pagar equivalente a 18,46% do capital próprio e 16,14% do capital de terceiros. Por fim, ao simular as propostas contidas no ED, verificou-se que os indicadores de endividamento, imobilização do patrimônio líquido e imobilização dos recursos não correntes, sofreram variações significativas, do ponto de vista estatístico, com a capitalização dos saldos de leasing operacional.

Para Lopes e Martins (2007), a relevância da informação contábil reside em sua capacidade de prever fluxos de caixa futuros, pois se acredita que essas informações permitem o mercado fixar os preços das ações de uma empresa. Esse pensamento é compartilhado por Ross, Westerfield e Jaffe (2001), ao afirmarem que uma entidade é avaliada pela sua riqueza econômica expressa a valor presente, calculada a partir dos fluxos de caixa esperados no futuro e descontados por uma taxa de atratividade que reflete o custo de oportunidade das várias fontes de financiamento.Nesse contexto, conhecer quais informações são relevantes em estimar o fluxo de caixa futuro é uma questão essencial para os participantes dos mercados de capitais. Dentre as informações contábeis relevantes, na predição dos fluxos de caixa futuros, estão o lucro e o fluxo de caixa (BARTH; CRAM; NELSON, INTRODUÇÃOAs demonstrações financeiras das empresas brasileiras que passaram a ser publicadas a partir de janeiro de 2010 encerraram a primeira fase das mudanças na legislação que rege as práticas contábeis brasileiras, iniciadas legalmente pela Lei 11.638/07, rumo à convergência às normas internacionais de contabilidade ou às International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Dentre os benefícios da convergência das normas contábeis às IFRS, espera-se uma série de vantagens, tais como: maior transparência e comparabilidade dos demonstrativos financeiros, integração dos mercados financeiros, menores custos de financiamento, maior Revista de Contabilidade e Organizações 21 (2014) 4-13 www.rco.usp.br Nos últimos anos, diversos estudos têm investigado a capacidade informativa do lucro contábil nos mercados de capitais. Uma parte dessas pesquisas está voltada em explicar a relação entre lucro, fluxo de caixa e accruals e os fluxos de caixa futuros. O foco é verificar qual informação contábil é mais relevante em prever o fluxo de caixa futuro. Nesse contexto, insere-se este artigo, que tem por objetivo analisar, em períodos 'pré', 'durante' e 'pós' processo de convergência às IFRS, a capacidade do lucro (líquido e operacional), fluxo de caixa e accruals em prever os fluxos de caixa futuros de 54 empresas não financeiras de capital aberto, durante os anos de 2006 a 2011. A metodologia utilizada, por meio de análise de regressão, baseia-se nos trabalhos de Greenberg, Johnson e Ramesh (1986) e Barth, Cram e Nelson (2001), onde se utilizou cinco variáveis contábeis para tentar explicar o comportamento do fluxo de caixa futuro. RESUMOÉ parte do instinto dos gestores avaliar o desempenho da entidade que lhe é designada para que tome decisões voltadas para a correção e melhorias de decisões tomadas no passado, tendo em vista a maximização do uso e do retorno dos recursos aplicados e consumidos pelas atividades exercidas na empresa. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo teve como objetivo averiguar se os procedimentos de avaliação de desempenho utilizados pela Central Nordeste do Sistema de Cooperativas de Crédito do Brasil se assemelham mais aos da Gestão Econômica (GECON) ou do Balanced Scorecard (BSC) e verificar, secundariamente, se eles se complementam e se a utilização dos mesmos é de forma proposital ou instintiva.
