The purpose of this study to analyze student’s spatial abilities to resolve 3D geometry problems through mathematics learning-assisted using Cabri 3D software. The population in this study were students from one of High School Student in Kuningan, West Java. Selection of sample by purposed random sampling, the experimental class is taught mathematics learning-assisted using Cabri 3D, while the control class is taught by conventional learning. This study was quasi-experimental with pretest and posttest control group design. Data analysis using two way anova by linking between learning model with gender factor and early mathematical abilities (KAM). Based on the results; (1) The enhancement of student’s spatial abilities through Cabri 3D was higher than the conventional learning; (2) based on gender, there were no significant effect of student’s spatial abilities who exposed with Cabri 3D and conventional learning; (3) based on KAM, there was significant effect of student’s spatial abilities among ability of high, middle, and low KAM. The differences occur between high, middle and low KAM. (4) based on the questionnaire results, students ‘responses to the positive Cabri 3D positive model, as much as 73.85% agree that learning Cabri 3D can improve understanding, interest and students’ abilities to learn the concept of 3 dimensional geometry. Based on this result, mathematics learning-assisted Cabri 3D can be applied in the process of mathematics learning in high School.
Kata kunci : Lingkungan fisik rumah, sosial ekonomi, respon biologis, tuberkulosisAbstractGlobally, Tuberculosis (TB) is an important public health problem until today. Based on WHO report, about 8 millions of new TB cases are found every year. Indonesia is the third biggest contributor country of TB cases after India and China with estimated number of 627.047 infected and 282.946 with positive smear test (BTA) in 2003. The objective of this study is to understand the relationship between house environment condition, socio-economic factor, biological response and TB. This study used secondary source of data from National TB Prevalence Survey (SPTBC) and National Social and Economic Survey (Susenas) in 2004. The study design used is case control study, with ratio of case and control of 1:4. The study population is >15 years old age group. The number of sample is 380 persons, consisting of 76 cases and 304 controls. Cases are people with positive sputum test and controls are people with negative sputum test selected randomly. The study results show that factors associated with TB are the presence of contact source in one house with OR 3.46 (1.316-9.091), condition of the house with soil floor OR 2.2 (1.135-4.269) and private income OR 2.145 (1.249-3.683). According to those findings, it was recommended to the policy maker to conduct active case finding program for the low-income group of people, early detection, quick treatment, active case finding program, and healthy housing for the poor. Keywords: House physical environment, social and economic factor, biological response, tuberculosis
Interactive games "Geocaching" is an innovative instructional media designed for mathematical instruction at high school level. Geocaching was applying to improve students' learning motivation in mathematical instruction. Quasi Experiment with pretest-posttest control group design was used in this research. Subjects in this study are high school students in urban environment, accustomed to using technology and have the ability of cognition from medium to high range. Data collection techniques using questionnaires to determine the influence of learning media Geocaching on student motivation in math learning. The result of data analysis using t-test obtained by Sig. (2tailed) = 0,000 <α = 0.05, it shows that Geocaching learning media can improve students' learning motivation in math lesson.
This research is motivated by the low mathematical representation skills of students. Mathematics learning based on android applications is an alternative idea that can be a solution to the problems above. The results showed: (1) Mathematics learning based on android applications has a positive impact on the ability of students' mathematical representation (2) from the results of the analysis of students' answers, it is concluded that students' representation skills in solving various questions, diverse representations are a manifestation of the solution strategy In addition, there are several learning barriers, including misinterpretation of the application of concepts, the fluency of students in connecting between concepts and other mathematical concepts, as well as student difficulties in communicating mathematical ideas, (3) The solution that can be done is the use of technology that can improve skills. students 'mathematics and (4) the need for a teacher to compile HLT as a basis for students' thought processes in learning the concepts of roots, ranks and logarithms.
