Textbooks that support learning Creative Critical Reading courses are still very minimal. It certainly affects the ability of students to understand reading skills. Students have limited ability to understand the theory due to the limitations of reverence. One effort that can be done is to develop textbooks. Textbooks should be able to motivate students. One effort that can be done is by developing ARCS-based teaching book (Attention, Relevance, Convidence, Satisfaction). This article aims to comply with ARCS-based teaching-learning techniques. Creation of Creative Critical Reading books with ARCS contains four components: awakening and attention to students' attention during learning (Attention), using subject matter that is relevant to the student's life (Relevance), instilling confidence, and cultivating a sense of satisfaction on students to learning (Satisfaction). The expected result in this research is the creation of ARCS-based critical and creative reading book
Afiksasi sangat diperlukan dalam menulis teks dalam tajuk rencana maupun teks ekposisi agar tidak terjadi penyimpangan pembentukan kata dari aturan-aturan yang sudah berlaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan proses afiksasi pada rubrik tajuk rencana Kedaulatan Rakyat. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada jenis dan proses afiksasi pada rubrik tajuk rencana Kedaulatan Rakyat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualikatif. Data penelitian ini adalah penggunaan afiksasi yang terdapat dalam rubrik tajuk rencana Kedaulatan Rakyat. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah rubrik tajuk renaca Kedaulatan Rakyat yang diterbitkan di bulan Oktober 2021 tepatnya pada tanggal 2 dan 4. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, ditemukannya 4 jenis afiksasi, yaitu prefiks, sufiks, konfiks, dan klofiks yang berjumlah 207 data. Kedua ditemukannya 4 proses afiksasi, yaitu prefiksasi, sufiksasi, konfiksasi dan klofiksasi, dengan jumlah data sesuai dengan jenis afiksasi yaiytu 207 data.
Dalam pembelajaran di sekolah, menyimak masih belum direalisasikan dengan baik. Pelajaran menyimak kurang mendapat perhatian dan sering diremehkan oleh siswa dan guru terutama pada sekolah yang belum maju seperti di wilayah pedesaan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa seperti media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan flash berbasis komik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan media flash berbasis komik dalam pembelajaran Cerita Rakyat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dengan menggunakan model 4D. Uji coba produk yaitu ahli media dan materi, dan uji coba pengguna yaitu siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket. Validasi instrumen menggunakan construct validity. Reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan reliabilitas internal. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis deskriptif. Tahap akhir dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah uji kelayakan dan efektifitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa penilaian tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran secara keseluruhan diperoleh hasil yang valid dan sangat layak. Kelayakan media pembelajaran ditinjau dari aspek media dan materi termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak sebesar 100,00 %. Penilaian peserta didik didapatkan penilaian yang sangat layak dengan persentase skor setiap aspek antara lain a) aspek materi termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak sebesar 39 atau 97,5% dan kategori layak sebesar 1 atau 2,5% b) aspek media termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak sebesar 27 atau 67,5% dan kategori layak sebesar 13 atau 32,5% serta c) aspek penilaian media pembelajaran secara keseluruhan sebesar 37 atau 92,5%, dan kategori layak sebesar 3 atau 7,5%. Oleh karena itu, media ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru sebagai pegangan dalam mengajar maupun bagi siswa dalam belajar.
<em>In the era of 4.0 technological advances that developed very rapidly indirectly affected all aspects of human life, both in the political, economic, cultural, even in the field of education. Every technology must have both positive and negative impacts. Positive benefits that can be obtained from technological advancements are providing facilities in the field of Education. One way that can be done is to use Flash as a learning media to listen to speeches for students which of course there are character values that can be developed in the media. The character developed in this media is the character of independence because students are highly required to work independently in the learning process. In addition, the characters developed in this media are the characters who love the environment, it can be seen from the contents of the speech that invites the listener to love the environment together. The purpose of this paper, which is to find out how to inculcate character education through learning to listen to flashbased speeches in the digital age. This type of research is Reasrch and Develompent (R&D). Development is carried out by developing learning media listening to speeches using the Flash application. Data collection method using a questionnaire. The feasibility instrument is reviewed from the learning media. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The final stage of this development is the feasibility and effectiveness test. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that instilling character education can be done through listening to speeches using flash-based media. This learning media is designed to deal with the era of digitalization, in addition to this, there are also character values that can be developed, including the character of independence and also the character for love for nature. The value of the independence character in this media can be seen from the form of media where users can access and download the desired material themselves, the value of the character of nature's love in this case can be seen from the contents of the speech which will directly preserve listening to both protecting the environment</em>
Research on experiential meaning breadth of bilingual analysis is rarely performed. The research aims at describing (1) the experiential meaning breadth variations of Alice in Wonderland English- Bahasa Indonesia movie texts, (2) the contextual factors that motivate the occurrence of meaning and realization variations, and (3) the contextual effects of the meaning and realization variations in question on the context in reference to the target readers of the texts. The research used descriptive qualitative approach to make the interpretation and the research findings. The data were taken from Alice in Wonderland (2010) movie texts then measured and validated in terms of quantitative research then analyzed through several steps: classifying the data into realized and unrealized expressions, classifying the data into the categories or degrees of variations, classifying the higher degree of each clause compared, giving number of clauses and their process type, contrasting each analysis result, and drawing conclusions. Research results indicate that the most prominent degree of experiential meaning breadth variations falls into the “lowest” category of variation with 57.54%. This means that the Target Text is closely related to the Source Text and/ or the translator of Target Text applied source- based translation as regards experiential meaning breadth complexity. It is also strengthened by the average degree in each of the analysis falling in “very low” category. The contextual factors that motivate the occurrence of the variations consist of inter- textual and situational context (field, mode, and tenor). The contextual effects in reference to the target readers are related to two aspects; the readability and the purpose of creating the texts. The Target Text is readable for the target readers of the text, target readers feel entertained by interpreting the text. The purpose for creating the Target Texts is for education and gives effects for the target readers to enrich their vocabularies and improve their English skills.
