Abstract-This paper aims to discuss the phenomenon of Critical Consciousness of Indonesia University of Education Students' on Educational Phenomenon. Critical consciousness is characterized by a critical understanding on issues of education, reasoning causality in the cause of education, transformative power of social action (praxis) and moral reasoning in fighting for the values of kindness. The method that used by this research is a transcendental phenomenology, the phenomenon of critical consciousness raised through conscientization based learning, then deepened through interviews with several students. This research has significance for mental revolution program in education launched by the Indonesian government. This study proved theoretically and practically about the profile of student or youth who have a critical consciousness.
The fast growth of Kuttab Al-Fatih's branch in Indonesia is one of the proofs that many parents, teachers and other academic practitioners especially people in the Islamic communities have faith in the concept of Islamic Prophetic model of education. Kuttab Al-Fatih is well known as an alternative elementary education who took form in non-formal education management system. The reason of it was to get the freedom in developing the model of elementary education, better than in the form of formal education. This paper aimed to describe the pedagogic fundamental structure of Kuttab Al-Fatih as a model of Islamic Prophetic based elementary education. The fundamental structure of pedagogic in this paper operationally define as a tool to analyze the model of educational constructions of Kuttab Al-Fatih, which include: philosophical foundations; the aim of education; the substances of the curriculum; teaching and learning models; the social and cultural context in teacher-students interactions; environmental design; and evaluation system. The case study was chosen as the method of this research. The object of the study is the model of elementary educations in one of the Kuttab Al-Fatih's branch. The results revealed that Kuttab Al-Fatih's Pedagogic Fundamental Structure was originally based on faith in Islamic concept called "Iman" and Al-Quran as the curriculum and it took samples form of education model got from Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-ālihi wa-sallam and the sahabas.
Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan konsep “karakter guru pembelajar†secara eksplisit yang ditunjang oleh beberapa penelitian mutakhir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis konsep dengan desain analisis generic (McMillan & Schumacher, 2001) atau integrative review (Whittemore and Knafl 2005). Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa profil karakter guru pembelajar memiliki beberapa indikator, pertama memiliki kuriositas epistemic; Kedua, memiliki hasrat memperbaiki kehidupan atau kesadaran utopis; ketiga, memiliki keterampilan belajar yang didalamnya terdapat kemampuan metakognitif dan kesadaran kritis ; keempat memiliki kemandirian atau otonomi belajar yang ditunjukkan dengan kontribusi terhadap diri dan orang lain. Penelitian ini memiliki signifikansi bagi pengembangan program pendidikan karakter pembelajar yang menjadi program unggulan PPGSD UPI. Juga, penelitian ini akan memberikan sumbangsih teoritis tentang profil guru pembelajar secara eksplisit sehingga bisa berimplikasi bagi peningkatan kualitas program peningkatan kompetensi pembelajar bagi guru-guru di Indonesia.
