The development of the revolution era 4.0 which increasingly rapidly demands the wider community to have the ability to think creatively mathematically. One effort to improve the ability to think creatively is through quality education. Quality education can be improved through to train thinking using the right learning model. This study aims to see which results are more effective in improving students' thinking skills between the two learning models applied. The two models are Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) models. This research method uses quasi experimental method with a posttest only control test design not control group. This study uses two group subjects with two experimental classes. The analysis of the data used the hypothesis testing of the non-correlated 2-sample t-test. Based on the research results obtained Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) models have a better effect on students' creative thinking abilities compared to Problem Based Learning (PBL) models.
AbstrakPenelitian ini tentang penggunaan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Geogebra dalam pembelajaran matematika yang dimaksudkan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematik dan motivasi belajar siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah sisw kelas IX-B SMP Negeri 1 Cianjur. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan koneksi matematik, angket, dan jurnal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan dan satu tes siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 kegiatan utama, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh adanya peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis siswadari pembelajaran sebelumnya. Ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar yang ideal, yaitu 86,8% dari jumlah siswayang telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Sementara motivasi belajar siswapada umumnya positif model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Geogebra dalam pembelajaran matematika. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ini membuat siswa lebih mudah memahami materi yang diberikan dan siswa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar matematika. The smart phone can be used for various functions, one of which is multimedia of education. However, it is still very rare for smart phone users with Android operating system especially high school students who use their smartphones as multimedia of education. This study aims to develop multimedia of mathematics education based on Android with the name JiMath for high school students and to determine the response of students and the level of effectiveness of the multimedia education mathematics developed. The subjects of the experiments as well as the targets in this study were the students of class X IPA 6 SMAN 2 Cianjur which amounted to 32 students. The method used is research and development with ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The result of the research shows that the multimedia of mathematics education based on android developed by the media expert meets the Very Eligible category with the percentage reaching 81%. Meanwhile, according to the material expert meets the Eligible category with a percentage of 65.83%. Then for the effectiveness of multimedia education developed according to respondents meet the Eligible category with the percentage reached 74.1%. So that the multimedia of mathematics education based on Android is effectively used as a supporting multimedia of education for students who can use anytime and anywhere.
This study aims to explain the procedural fluency of students in numerical methods courses. Procedural fluency refers to knowledge of procedures, about when and how to use them appropriately, and the skills to carry out procedures flexibly, accurately, and efficiently. The method in this study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and data analysis techniques for the Miles and Huberman models. In this study also performed triangulation of techniques by conducting interviews to strengthen the test result data. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that regarding the smoothness in students' procedural procedures in solving problems related to numerical methods courses, students are able to solve problems with more than one method. However, some students have not been able to streamline steps and make accurate calculations. In addition, mastery in operating a scientific calculator needs to be improved so that students can be more efficient and get more accurate answers.
Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang sangat penting dan merupakan salah satu standar proses pembelajaran matematika yang dirumuskan oleh NCTM. Apabila siswa tersebut mampu mengaitkan ide-ide yang ada dalam matematika maka pemahaman terhadap matematikanya akan bertahan lama dan semakin mendalam. Begitu pentingnya kemampuan koneksi matematis terhadap suatu pembelajaran, maka dilakukanlah sebuah penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa serta kesalahan apa saja yang sering dilakukan oleh siswa terkait soal koneksi matematis terhadap materi trigonometri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas X OTKP 3 SMK Bunga Persada Cianjur sebanyak 29 orang. Bentuk pengambilan datanya yaitu dengan pemberian soal tes uraian tertulis sebanyak 5 butir soal. Berdasarkan hasil analisisnya, didapatkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa di jenjang sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) Bunga Persada Cianjur kelas X OTKP 3 pada materi trigonometri tergolong rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dari setiap indikatornya. Rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis tersebut karena ada beberapa kesalahan yang sering dilakukan oleh siswa diantaranya yaitu kesalahan konsep, kesalahan keterampilan komputasi, dan kesalahan interpretasi bahasa.
