Project Management offers a variety of methodologies which provides managers with different techniques and tools to use during project planning and implementation. At the same time there is a substantial lack of systematized approaches to the management of innovation projects. In this article key factors in the selection of appropriate techniques in innovation project management will first be identified. Theoretical analysis of different project management standards and possibility of their use will then be discussed. In addition how the techniques can be applied will be investigated through academic paper analysis. . This research makes a theoretical contribution to the field of project management by selecting and determining which project management techniques can be adapted and applied to innovation projects. Recommendations for practical application are based on theoretical findings of the research. These include two main factors, which are: influencing the choice of project management techniques and the structure of project selection process. The significance of the results obtained is confirmed by creation of theoretical knowledge, which permits to thoroughly understand and capture issues which may emerge during innovation project planning and implementation, through the use of established project management methodology. Keywords: Project management, Innovation, Project management standard, innovation project, PMBoK, PRINCE2, ICB.
The development of retail electricity markets was specific in different countries. There is an important condition for further development of an electric power system with active consumers and prosumers’ participation and the integration of renewable energy sources (RES), other innovative technologies and smart solutions. This study is aimed at observation of tracks of development and of retail electricity market characteristics in some countries through introducing a uniform framework for comparison. The results can help both experts and authorities to better understand the tasks and the conditions for the processes of energy transition.
Several studies have been conducted to identify innovative mechanisms for the successful development of various innovative regions. The scope of the current research is to shed light on this issue, taking into account the theory of self-organized systems and the principal properties of freescale networks. Using Silicon Valley as an example, the author demonstrated the majority of selforganized systems, thus determining what traits, working principles and laws should be available for use in innovative system. Self-organization as a key characteristic of an innovation ecosystem coupled with prerequisites, supports the growth of Silicon Valley and would be recommended as a model to be utilised in countries and regions across the world.
Problems of open programmes stakehoders expectations, connected with benefit realization management (BRM) are considered in the article. It is revealed that programmes benefits are significantly connected with stakeholders expectations, in case of open proramme they even coincide. It is explained by the fact, that open programme stakeholders often define benfits on their own. Basing on this conclusion, recommendations directed towards integration of BRM (including stakeholders expectation) in programme management are presented. The recommendations include principles of coordination, specifics of subject area and set of documents.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
