The alpha(1)-adrenergic and 5-HT1A serotonergic receptor affinities of a series of 1-arylpiperazines are presented. The role of the spacer and the influence of the terminal substituents on the alpha(1)-adrenoreceptor affinity and the 5-HT1A/alpha(1) receptor selectivity are discussed.
A systematic study has been made of the effects of aluminium fluoride on the thermal behaviour of kaolin, using differential thermal, thermogravimetric, X-ray and electron microscope techniques. It is shown that mullite can be formed at a temperature as low as 600~ that in the presence of alurninium fluoride the exothermic reaction occurs at a lower temperature and is reduced in size; that the size of the mullite crystals is increased as a result of pretreatment with aluminium fluoride.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
