This study aimed to extend previous investigation regarding its beneficial effects on changes of blood glucose. This experimental research was conducted from 06:00-12:00. Twenty-four young men (age 19-20 y.o.) were divided into three groups, Fasting-Exercise-Only (FEO), Fasting-Exercise-Water (FEW), and Fasting-Exercise with Fruit-Infused Water (FEF). Subjects underwent fasting for 12 h before the experimental day. The data of body weight (Kg) and macroscopic urine color were collected before and after exercise. Body weight in all experimental groups were decreased by 1% during endurance exercise. There were no differences in decrease of body weight between FEF and FEW groups compared to FEO group (p>.05). The change in urine color was significantly different between pre-exercise and post-exercise data (p<.05). The darkest urine color was observed in FEO group (4.75), followed by FEW group (4.25), while FEF group (3.63) did not reach dehydration level. In conclusion, fruit-infused water is suggested to be drink as a choice for fluid intake during exercise.
Era disrupsi merupakan era perubahan zaman, aktivitas-aktivitas yang semula dilakukan dengan dunia nyata digeser atau beralih ke dunia maya berbasis daring. Pola kehidupan tingkah laku ini didukung dengan semakin canggihnya teknologi. Akibat dari fenomena ini masyarakat cenderung menjadi penghamba teknologi dan melupakan seluruh aktivitas yang dapat dilakukan secara langsung tanpa perantara media. Salah satu dampak yang paling terlihat akibat fenomena disrupsi ini adalah semakin hilang dan tergerusnya aktivitas-aktivitas konvensional seperti olahraga tradisional yang sudah jarang ditemui di lingkungan anak-anak. Tujuan kegiatan pengembangan ini adalah mengenalkan kembali olahraga tradisional dikalangan anak-anak masa kini (milenial) dan melestarikan kembali olahraga tradisional Indonesia yang hampir hilang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah membuat olahraga tradisional menjadi menarik. Through International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) this research has the intent and purpose of examining the extent to which physical activity and quality of life is carried out by students in the Sports Coaching Education Department, especially in the class of 2021. This research itself is based on the current situation in the world that is still hit by Covid 19. As a result, the lecture activities are carried out separately, so for practical lecture activities, controlling for monitoring and evaluating optimally from the implementation of lecture activities cannot be carried out. The research uses a descriptive percentage approach in its implementation. While the data collection used IPAQ questionnaire as the instrument. A total of 80 samples used in this study were obtained from students in the Sports Coaching Education Department. The results of the analysis show that there are 30% of students who can be categorized as having a fairly high level of physical activity, while for students who have a moderate level of activity, the results are 45% and 25% for students with low levels of physical activity. Based on these results it can be concluded that during the Covid 19 pandemic which is still ongoing today, it can be interpreted that students have a tendency to decrease their physical activity level, where one of the contributing factors is the reduced physical activity they do every day and of course this also affects the quality of life of these students.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pertandingan final NBA musim 2020-2021 antara Milwaukee Bucks melawan Phoenix Suns berdasarkan statistik pertandingan. Dibutuhkan 6 pertandingan sampai akhirnya Milwaukee Bucks dinobatkan menjadi juara NBA dengan 4 kali menang dan 2 kali kalah dari Phoenix Suns. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan menggunakan data sekunder yang diambil dari website resmi NBA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) faktor penentu kemenangan Phoenix Suns dalam pertandingan pertama adalah FTM dan FT%. Faktor kekalahan Milwaukee Bucks adalah pada FTM dan FT%, 2) Faktor penentu kemenangan Phoenix Suns dalam pertandingan kedua adalah 3PM, 3P%, dan DRB. Faktor kekalahan Milwaukee Bucks adalah 3PM, 3) Milwaukee Bucks mendominasi pertandingan ketiga dengan unggul dalam 9 komponen statistik, khususnya dalam 3PM dan 3P, 4) Faktor penentu kemenangan Milwaukee Bucks pada pertandingan keempat adalah FTM dan ORB. Faktor kekalahan Phoenix Suns adalah FTM yang rendah, 5) Faktor yang mempengaruhi kemenangan Milwaukee Bucks pada pertandingan kelima adalah 3PM, AST, dan ORB. Faktor kekalahan Phoenix Suns adalah tidak memaksimalkan 3P% yang cukup tinggi yaitu 68,3% dan FT% yaitu 90,9% dengan memperbanyak percobaan tembakan, 6) Faktor yang mempengaruhi kemenangan Milwaukee Bucks pada pertandingan keenam adalah FG%, FTM, FT%, AST, ORB, dan DRB. Faktor kekalahan Phoenix Suns adalah FTM dan rebounds yang kurang baik.
Background: Nutritional program is another influencing factor of athletic performance after the physical training program, and psychological training program. However, Indonesian sports practitioners somehow still neglect the important role of sports nutrition to achieve the best athletic performance.Objectives: To examine the level of basic nutritional and sports nutritional knowledge among the sport’s practitioners who participated in the quadrennial national sports competition 2021.Materials and Methods: This evaluation study has conducted with a descriptive quantitative approach. Thirty-eight sports practitioners (24 males and 14 females), were represented from five provinces such as Central Java, Western Java, Eastern Java, Southern Sumatera, and Bali. Their status during the sports events are athletes, referees, officials, coaches, and judges. The incidental technique sampling was used to attract the respondents. Nutritional Knowledge Questionnaires (NKQ) developed by Rosi et al, was used in this study. Data was analyzed with the frequencies distribution technique, and displayed using the percentage.Results: More than half of the total respondents (81%) have good, very good, and excellent knowledge in general nutrition (21%, 34%, 26%) respectively. Similarly, it is also happened in the evaluation of their knowledge for basic nutrition good (5%), very good (29%), excellent (40%), as well as in their knowledge levels for sports nutrition, good 18% and excellent 53%. However, based on the evaluation of their sports nutritional knowledge, we found that there are 8% (n=3) of the respondent were failed as the score <50 points.Conclusion: Overall, the nutritional knowledge for general, basic and sports in sports practitioners evaluated good. However, the sports nutritional knowledge is not well understood evenly by them. At last, this study can be used as a reference to make a better decision on how sports nutrition must be promoted to maximize the athletic performance.
