Este artículo tuvo como objetivo investigar cómo el proceso de visualización de los estudiantes como un constructo mental se da en actividades que engloban las habilidades de percepción espacial y consolidar su aplicación con los formadores. La investigación cualitativa involucró a estudiantes de noveno grado de una escuela pública en el estado de Paraíba y profesores de educación continua que trabajan en escuelas públicas en el estado de Rio Grande do Sul, los últimos participando de una disciplina dirigida a pedagogos en un ámbito profesional. Máster en Didáctica de las Ciencias y las Matemáticas. Se aplicaron tres actividades con el fin de estimular estas habilidades en su resolución. El proceso de recolección de datos se realizó con los estudiantes a través del Formulario de Google, en el cual, para cada pregunta visual, existían cinco alternativas, también visuales, para elegir una de ellas como la correcta. Entre los docentes, los datos fueron recolectados, durante una clase, proyectados en el Power Point y remitidos, individualmente, al docente. Los resultados mostraron la importancia de aplicar actividades de este tipo, de acuerdo con el BNCC y RCG, para desarrollar el pensamiento geométrico.
