The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of ice breaking as an effort to increase the students’ learning motivation. This research was conducted in the Science Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Nganjuk, East Java, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 25 students in the third semester who took the mechanics course. The sample used in this study was taken using purposive sampling technique. This type of comparative research is used in this study. Data collection techniques used, questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. This type of research is comparative which is used to examine differences in student learning motivation before and after being treated. The results of the study were based on the Paired T Test shows value probability/ p Paired T test value of 0.000. This means that there are differences in student learning motivation after being given the ice breaking learning model. This ice breaking was implemented as an effort to reduce saturation and boredom of the students during the learning process. The new thing that is obtained is that the application of games can increase learning motivation
This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of physics learning e- module based on local culture wisdom. This study is a development using ADDIE model of study design comprised five steps of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The sample used by 70 students with one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the research results, e-module based on local wisdom that is validated by three experts and three experts media material showed 83% in the category of very viable for use in learning. The effectiveness of e-module was tested using paired sample t test. The results showed no effect of the use-based e-modules of local wisdom to the learning process of physics. Values of N-Gain score indicates the percentage of 81% (in the effective category). E-modules used in this study utilizes the android based smartphone technology. Local wisdom that becomes a source of learning is a game “carbide cannon” who came fromPontianak, West Kalimantan, the terms of the concepts of physics and chemistry. Students’ response to the media developed showed an average score of 87% ratings with very good category.
This research aims to investigate the influence of project based learning (PjBL) learning that integrates with science, technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) on optical concepts with improved student science process skills. The method of study used is a descriptive method. Data is obtained from a learning observation sheet to determine the skills of the science process developed by students and polls used to capture student responses to learning. The instrument in this study uses a science process skills test in the form of an observation sheet and a subjective test. The science process skills tests used in this study include asking questions, observing, hypothesized, planning experiments, interpretation, and communicating. The Data that has been obtained is then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study show that students have all indicators of the science process skills that belong to the good category (average rating 79.33). Students give a positive response to learning, because they feel more understanding, improving motivation and learning interests.
