Este artigo faz uma análise sobre a relevância da cooperação jurídica internacional em questões laborais e debruça-se de forma mais específica sobre os males da escravidão contemporânea e como este tipo de cooperação é essencial para se combater tais práticas. Dentro desse contexto, são apresentados os conceitos de cooperação jurídica internacional, quais os objetivos desta cooperação, todavia, o estudo enfatiza de modo mais aprofundado a chaga da escravidão no século XXI, também conhecida como escravidão contemporânea e como estado brasileiro se porta em relação ao assunto. Conclui-se, com base na realidade de um mundo totalmente globalizado, que é inviável a atuação dos Estados de forma isolada para se combater tais práticas, sendo necessário de sobremaneira uma cooperação mútua e a constante colaboração dos países do globo, sejam os que estão em desenvolvimento e são afetados diretamente por estas situações, sejam os países desenvolvidos que se beneficiam de algum modo desse tipo de exploração do trabalho. Para elaboração do presente artigo, se utilizou o método dedutivo, bem como a vertente metodológica qualitativa, por meio de pesquisa documental direta, no que tange a análise de documentos, artigos, livros, notícias, teses de mestrado e legislações específicas.

A administração pública brasileira estava diminuindo a carga de eficiência em relação aos demais países do mundo, em razão da histórica imutabilidade de sua organização institucionalizada e burocrática. No início do século XXI, observou-se um processo de reformulação da administração pública que implicou na ruptura de paradigmas historicamente concebidos e que se mostravam anacrônicos em comparação com aquele apresentado por outras nações. Esta mudança é claramente verificada em relação à gestão pública dos hospitais universitários que migraram – em muitos Estados da Federação – das universidades federais para a Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares – a EBSERH – cuja criação foi autorizada pela lei federal n.º 12.550 de 15 de dezembro de 2011 e nasceu imbuída da finalidade de aumentar a carga de eficiência dos serviços públicos de saúde no Brasil. Esta empresa pública representa um novo modelo de prestação de serviços de saúde em comparação com aquele oferecido ao longo de todo o século XX pelo Poder Público e encontra resistência em muitas universidades em relação à sua implantação, mas se apresenta como um caminho viável para a reestruturação de todo o funcionalismo público brasileiro.
RESUMOO presente trabalho visa apresentar uma reflexão crítica sobre as penas alternativas como instrumentos de reintegração social no sistema penal brasileiro. No decorrer das discussões a serem apresentadas, será destacada a necessidade da intervenção penal apenas diante de lesão a bens jurídicos tidos como indispensáveis à sociedade que integra e justifica a existência do Estado Democrático de Direito. Será apontado ainda como as penas restritivas de direito estão inseridas no ordenamento pátrio e o seu papel perante uma política criminal nacional que privilegia a máxima do encarceramento, da privação da liberdade do infrator, mesmo diante de dados concretos que evidenciam o colapso do sistema carcerário do país e a sua ineficácia no que diz respeito a prevenção e a reintegração social do apenado. Para a realização deste artigo, serão utilizados como arcabouço teórico, em especial, os ensinamentos de Greco (2018), Gomes (2009) e Alencar (2009).
