Sobre una muestra aleatoria se determinó por la prueba H I el índice inmunitario contra la rubeola en la población femenina de Bogotá. Los hallazgos concuerdan con los comunicados por otros autores para poblaciones donde la enfermedad se presenta con caracteres de endemicidad.El 54% de las mujeres mayores de 15 aíios no presentan títulos de protección, con un riesgo del 1% de hacer la enfermedad durante el embarazo. Se recomienda establecer un programa de vacunación selectiva.El estudio se programó con el ánimo de valorar algunos parámetros de posible interés en la apreciación del estado de inmunidad contra la Rubeola (familia Togaviridae) en una comunidad, y estimar los índices inmunitarios en la población femenina de Bogotá, como base para prospectar un sistema de vigilancia epidemiológica en la materia.
MATERIALES Y METODOS Población MuestraSe consideraron dos grupos d e sesenta mujeres cada uno, con edades comprendidas entre los cinco y los quince años el primero, y de diez y seis o mhs años el segundo. Cada grupo se subdividió por alicuotas en tres subgrupos que se asignaron a diferentes unidades asistenciales. pretendiendo obte- ner la muestra de tres estratos socioeconómicos: bajo, medio y medio alto.La muestra fue conformándose con las personas que se acercaban a l laboratorio d e las entidades en demanda d e cualquier prueba en suero. y en su orden de llegada allí. Los sueros, separados antes d e dos horas después del sangrado, fueron mantenidos en refrigeración y remitidos diariamente al laboratorio d e virología.Los datos se recolectaron en formularios preparados para el caso.
Pruebas d e LoboratorioPara la titulación d e los sueros s e empleó la microtécnica de Inhibición de la Hemaglutinación [HI), según la casa Behringwerke. utilizando su Antígeno d e Rubeola (1). Los sueros fueron tratados previamente con caolín. Los glóbulos rojos se tomaron en Citrato de Sodio (2,5010) por punción intracardíaca de pollitos de 24 horas de nacidos. dos los datos, quedaron constituidos así:
