This study is a quasi experimental study that aims to determine the effect of snakes and ladders game in cooperative learning model type TGT to motivation and learning outcomes of students class X SMA Negeri 1 Masamba (atomic structure and periodic table of elements subject matter). Research desain is pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were selected class X MIA 4 as an experimental class and class X MIA 5 as class control the number of students are 42 and 43 peoples. Experimental class taught by a game of snakes and ladders in cooperative learning model TGT and the control class was taught just by cooperative learning model TGT. Data collection techniques provide the achievment test and learning questionnaires to measure students motivation. The results of pre-requisite test of inferential statistical analysis shown the data were not normally distributed and not homogeneous. So, hypothesis testing is done by using a nonparametric test Mann-Whitney shown Zhitung> Ztabel = 4,426> 1,64 for the learning motivation to and learning outcomes shown Zhitung> Ztabel = 1,661> 1,64. It concluded the game of snakes and ladders in cooperative learning model TGT positive effect on motivation and learning outcomes of students class X SMA Negeri 1 Masamba.
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 2 Makassar pada materi pokok laju reaksi. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model problem based learning dan model pembelajaran langsung. Variabel terikatnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi pokok laju reaksi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 2 Makassar yang terdiri dari delapan kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI MIA 7 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 8 sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan jumlah peserta didik masing-masing sebanyak 34 orang. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen sebesar 83,21 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 78,28 dengan standar deviasi berturut-turut adalah 8,09 dan 7,42 dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 85,29% untuk kelas eksperimen dan 50,00% untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t pada taraf signifikan, α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung (2,65) > ttabel (1,67) menunjukkan hipotesis diterima. Model problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 2 Makassar pada materi pokok laju reaksi.Kata Kunci: model problem based learning, hasil belajar, laju reaksi ABSTRACTThis research was a quasi-experimental that aimed to know the effect of problem based learning model toward student learning outcome in XI MIA class of SMAN 2 Makassar on subject matter of reaction rate. The independent variables are the problem based learning and direct learning model while the dependent variable was the student’s learning outcome on reaction rate subject matter. The population was XI MIA class of SMAN 2 Makassar consisted of two classes, namely XI MIA 7 class as an experiment group and XI MIA 8 class as a control group with 34 students in each classes. Sampling technique was a simple random sampling, that the results of descriptive analyzed showed that the average of experimental class is 83,21 and control class is 78,28 with standard deviation are 8,09 and 7,42 while completeness is 85,29% for experimental class and 50,00% for control class. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test at significance level of α = 0,05 obtained that tcalculated = 2,65 > ttable = 1,67, there is an effect of Problem Based Learning Model Toward Student Learning Outcomes in class XI MIA SMAN 2 Makassar with subject matter of reaction rate.Keyword: problem based learning model, student learning outcome, reaction rate.
Pronunciation is the production of speech sounds for communication. Many Indonesian students found difficulties in pronouncing English words correctly. This study aims at investigating the students’ pronunciation of English diphthong of the fourth semester students of English Language Education Program at Qomaruddin University. A descriptive qualitative design is applied in this study. 31 respondents are the main source in collecting the data. To collect the data, two instruments used. They are test and interview. The respondents are asked to read a certain text and read some vocabulary while the writer is examining them once. As the result, the writer found 512 errors in reading text. The most source of errors was in pronouncing English diphthong /əʊ/ 207 errors or 40,43%. There were 221 errors in reading vocabularies. The most source of errors was in pronouncing English diphthong /eɪ/90 errors or 40,72%. This study also found the substitution, insertion and omission as the error types of pronunciation. In reading text was found 329 errors or 64,76% of substitution, and 160 errors or 31.50% of omission. Meanwhile, in reading vocabularies there were 111 errors or 51,39% of substitution and 104 errors or 48,15% of omission. However, the result of the interview had found difficulties in pronouncing English diphthong such as difficulties to memorize diphthong sounds and influenced of their mother tongue. Meanwhile, as the students, the most important thing is to know about knowledge and practice. It means that they have to know the phonetic transcription and practice more and more to have good pronunciation.
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah “posttest-only control group design”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Gowa yang terdiri dari tujuh kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu class random sampling sehingga sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah peserta didik masing-masing 36 orang. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah model discovery learning yaitu motivasi dan hasil belajar. Data motivasi dan hasil belajar yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Pengujian hipotesis untuk pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan uji-t. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap motivasi hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Gowa (Studi pada Materi Pokok Struktur Atom). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami kenaikan namun tidak begitu signifikan yaitu 59,25% untuk kelas kontrol dan 60,78% untuk keas eksperimen, sedangkan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dari 8,33% untuk kelas kontrol dan 44,44% untuk kelas eksperimen. The average percentage of learning motivation is 59,25% for control calss increase become 60,78% for experiment class while learning achievement of students is 8,33% for control class and 44,44% fot experiment class. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kuis pada akhir pertemuan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MAN Lappariaja. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together dengan memberikan kuis di akhir pertemuan dan tanpa pemberian kuis pada akhir pertemuan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together serta variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok ikatan kimia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MAN Lappariaja yang terdiri dari 10 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 390 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu random sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas X7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang dan kelas X9 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar pada materi pokok ikatan kimia berupa post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis statistika inferensial diperoleh thitung (2.73) > ttabel (1.67) pada 𝛼 ═ 0,05. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kuis di akhir pertemuan pada pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MAN Lappariaja pada materi pokok ikatan kimia. The independent variable in this research were Numbered Heads Together learning with Quiz Presentation at the last session and without quiz of Numbered Heads Together of Learning cooperative, the dependent variable was student’s achievement on Chemical Bonding subject matter. The population was class X MAN Lappariaja consisted class 10 with number of 390 students. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class X7 as an experiment class with 30 students and class X9 as a control class with 30 students. The data of the research were gathered by testing the students’ achievement on chemical bonding subject matter for post-test which were analysed by using t-test. Results of inferential statistical analysis were tcalculate (2.73) higher than ttable (1.67) on α ═0.05. Conclude that presenting quiz at the end of the meeting on cooperative Learning Numbered Heads Together gives effected to toward student’s achievement of class X MAN Lappariaja on Chemical Bonding subject matter.
