O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a abordagem de gênero integrada ao ensino de Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (CTS) nos cursos de engenharia. Para isso, é explorada a proposta da educação CTS para os cursos de cunho tecnológico, com foco na potência que essa perspectiva traz para a discussão de temas frequentemente marginalizados ou omitidos nestes cursos. Em seguida, é realizada uma revisão sobre as relações entre gênero, ciência e tecnologia com foco em estudos que refletem sobre diferentes abordagens para o caso das engenharias. Por fim, ao articular as seções anteriores, são apresentadas reflexões sobre a possibilidade de que os estudos de gênero, assim como outros recortes relevantes para a construção de um currículo socialmente comprometido, sejam incorporados não somente às ementas das disciplinas de CTS, mas em toda a formação em engenharia.
