A água é um recurso fundamental à vida e sua disponibilidade depende da preservação ambiental. O Brasil possui uma grande disponibilidade hídrica, porém algumas regiões já se encontram com escassez de água. Diante disso, surgem alternativas para evitar o desperdício, entre elas o aproveitamento de água das águas pluviais, que capta e armazena a água da chuva para utilizar em fins não potáveis, como descargas, irrigações de jardim, entre outras. O método é fundamental para a implantação em universidades, visto que, em locais onde o consumidor não é responsabilizado diretamente pelo consumo de água, tende a haver um desperdício maior. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa buscou realizar um estudo de viabilidade para implantação de um sistema de aproveitamento de água em um bloco do Instituto Tocantinense Presidente Antônio Carlos - ITPAC, identificando o reservatório necessário a partir do Método de Azevedo Neto, previsto na ABNT NBR 15527/2007. A partir da pesquisa, identificou-se que a cidade de Porto Nacional possui um índice pluviométrico variável mensalmente, com maiores índices entre os meses de outubro de abril, havendo uma seca principalmente no mês de julho. Apesar do período de seca verificado, ele não possui um grande impacto negativo para a implantação do projeto, visto que se trata de um período de férias, onde a instituição tem pouca atividade. Além disso, identificou-se que a instituição dispõe de meios onde não faz o uso da água da rede de abastecimento pública, entretanto a implantação do método é viável, com viabilidade econômica e ambiental, e pode servir de um método de estudo para os acadêmicos de Engenharia Civil e Arquitetura e Urbanismo da instituição.
A delimitação morfométrica da Bacia Hidrográfica é de suma importância para a compreensão do seu comportamento dinâmico diante do ciclo hidrológico. Por meio da morfometria é possível determinar parâmetros que indicam o comportamento da bacia hidrográfica, como por exemplo o potencial de enchentes. E com o avanço das ferramentas computacionais a delimitação dessas bacias tornou-se ainda mais fácil. O objetivo deste trabalho é delimitar a Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Santo Antônio fazendo uso da ferramenta de delimitação automática do TauDEM, (Terrain Analysis Using Digital Elevation Models), um conjunto de ferramentas para construção de análises hidrológicas com base nos Modelos Digitais de Elevação (MDEs), bem como apresentar as principais características morfométricas desta bacia. A área de drenagem encontrada foi de 3.137,41 km 2 e o perímetro de 499,48 km. De forma geral, constatou-se que a área da bacia possui formato mais alongado, com baixo potencial para ocorrência de inundações. A rede de drenagem da bacia possui capacidade mediana para o surgimento de novos cursos d'água e apresenta um escoamento superficial razoavelmente baixo, muito por conta de suas características, mais planas. Seu relevo é suave e com declividades, que em sua maioria, variam entre 0 a 3,6 % o que classifica o elevo plano ou suavemente ondulado o que prejudica um pouco o escoamento. Diante dos resultados obtidos pode-se concluir que a ferramenta TauDEM é muito eficiente para delimitação automática de Bacias Hidrográficas. Palavras-chaves: bacia hidrográfica; morfometria; TauDEM.
Resumo O comportamento da chuva afeta o planejamento e operação dos setores da sociedade. Uma das formas de conhecer o comportamento das chuvas de uma determinada região é por meio da análise das séries históricas de precipitação. O objetivo desse trabalho é analisar e caracterizar o regime pluviométrico do município de Araguaína, com base nas séries históricas de estações pluviométricas da Agência Nacional de águas (ANA). Além disso, são apresentadas informações regionalizadas que podem auxiliar o sistema de gestão do município de Araguaína para os setores que dependem da dinâmica das chuvas em suas tomadas de decisão. Foram selecionadas 5 estações com contribuição de registros de chuva direta no município. De forma geral, constatou-se que o ano hidrológico de Araguaína apresenta sazonalidade bem definida caracterizada por dois períodos: o período seco de maio a setembro, e o chuvoso de outubro a abril. A média de precipitação total anual em toda a área do município é de 1746,97 mm e, em média, 89% da precipitação total anual de Araguaína é registrada no período considerado chuvoso. Por outro lado, pouco mais de 10% do volume precipitado acontece fora dos meses de outubro a abril.
O acidente de trânsito pode ser definido como uma situação que ocorre de forma repentina e inesperada, que pode causar danos ao veículo, pessoas ou animais, e tem como causas determinantes os fatores humanos, viário-ambiental e veiculares, sendo a questão humana a mais determinante. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste estudo é identificar o perfil das vítimas de acidentes de trânsito em rodovias brasileiras com base nos dados de registro da Policia Rodoviária Federal referentes ao ano de 2019. As informações foram organizadas, analisadas, georreferenciadas e associadas por meio do software QGIS, e mapas temáticos, gráficos e tabelas caracterizam o perfil dos envolvidos. Podese concluir com as informações obtidas, que o maior percentual de acidentes ocorre na região Sul do país; condutores do sexo masculino são os principais envolvidos; a faixa etária de idade de 25 a 44 anos é responsável pelo maior índice de acidentes; as principais causas destes incidentes estão relacionadas com o comportamento do próprio condutor no trânsito; o automóvel e a motocicleta são os veículos que mais se envolvem em acidentes. Espera-se que este estudo possa contribuir para que os órgãos responsáveis pela segurança viária atuem de forma mais consistente para a prevenção de acidentes de trânsito em rodovias federais brasileiras.
