Alain Legardez. Didactic transposition and relation to knowledge: the example of the ways of teaching economic and social matters, which are vivid socially. We present an analysis of the problems related to the teaching of economic and social matters. It sways from the generic acknowledgement of the concept of didactic transposition to the study of the specific characters of the management of the relation to knowledge in the teaching of the "socially vivid matters”. The validity of the use of the theory of didactic transposition is examined through the example of the subject called social sciences and economics (SES), where it has led to sharp controversies. An analysis in terms of distance construction between different knowledge areas is presented to contribute to the study of the problematicity of different ways of teaching, which had already been shown by the theory of didactic transposition. The illustrations have been collected from recent works in the didactics of the subjects mentioned.
