Linear electrical motors are electrical machines which directly convert electrical energy into linear motion without requiring any extra mechanical components. So far, DC and AC linear motors have been employed in many positioning systems. On the other hand, the main reasons of DC linear motors have not been widespread are their stroke limitations and high cost. This paper presents for mechatronic systems a geometric and magnetic design of single-sided, linear brushless direct current motor (LBLDC). The designed motor has 3 A, 24 V, 72 W, and 70 N pull force, high force/volume rated and low cost. Its characteristics were analyzed by using finite-element software. The prototype was simulated and released of a single-sided LBLDC. The obtained results were compared with the results obtained by the analytical methods.

S ingle phase induction motors (SPIMs) nowadays are widely used in domestic and commercial areas because of cheap cost, simple structure, low noise and small dimensions etc. Split phase, start and run-capacitor single phase induction motors are well known SPIM motor types [1]. Although a lot of advantages have mentioned, a SPIM has some disadvantages. Its efficiency is low and starting performance is not so good to compare the other electrical machines types.The optimal design of an induction motor in terms of electromagnetic torque means starting and breakdown torques are higher value [2]. Many researchers have investigated to improve the starting torque and efficiency of a SPIM. Some of them have focused the influence of rotor slot geometry like rotor slot type, shape, skewing, number of rotor slot, slot opening and core material.Zhou Rui et al [3], have modeled two single phase induction motors with Maxwell 2D software and changed their dimensions in Maxwell 2D to find optimal slot geometry with respect to starting performance and efficiency. Otomatik depolama ve boşaltma sistemleri (ODBS) firmalardaki ürünlerin depo içerisinde depolanması ve boşaltılması için kullanılan sistemlerdir. ODBS'lerde farklı depo yerleşimlerinde çeşitli otomatik depolama ve boşaltma araçları kullanılmaktadır. Bu sistemlerde yükleme ve ürün toplama işlemi genellikle kullanılan koridor robotları (KR) ve taşıyıcı robotları (TR) ile gerçekleştirilmektedir. Ürünlerin depo içerisindeki raflara yerleştirilmesinde ve toplanmasında operatör müdahalesi minimum seviyededir. Bu çalışmada ODBS'lerin tipleri, uygulanan değişik depo kurulumları ve çözümleri, ürünlerin toplanması ve yüklenmesi esnasında kullanılan optimizasyon çalışmaları hakkında yapılmış yayınlardan bir derleme yapılmıştır. AbstractAutomated storage and retrieval systems (ASRSs) are used for loading and retrieving products in the companies' warehouses. A variety of automated storage and retrieval vehicles are used in different storage layouts in ASRSs. The loading and retrieving process is usually performed with aisle robots (ARs) and shuttle robots (SRs) at these systems. While the placement and retrieving of products on/from the shelves, the operator intervention is minimized. In this paper, a literature review has been given about ASRSs' types, applied various storage installations and solutions and optimization studies used while loading and retrieving products.

Abstract:In this study, an EI core linear actuator is proposed for horizontal movement systems. It is a transverse flux linear switched reluctance motor designed with an EI core structure geometrically. The actuator is configured into three phases and at a 6/4 pole ratio, and it has a stationary active stator along with a sliding passive translator. The stator consists of E cores and the translator consists of I cores. The actuator has a yokeless design because the stator and translator have no back iron. The E and I cores are separated from each other to provide a fault-tolerant design and decrease the weight. The proposed model is analyzed by 3D finite element method. Phase inductance, flux linkage, and axial forces are examined by magnetostatic finite element analysis and verified by analytical approximations and experimental results. Under DC 8 A phase excitation, propulsion force is 72.57 N and corresponding power consumption is 115.5 W. This has advantages for horizontal movement systems.

This study investigates the effect of rotor geometry on performance in switched reluctance motors (SRM) using models analyzed by the 2-D Finite Element Method (FEM). All models have the same stator geometry, winding features, and air gap, but have different rotor geometries. The SRM model operates at nominal speed of 3000 rpm; with 6/4 pole and 150 W output power. Magnetic model analysis was undertaken for the 3 different rotor models. Electrical performance characteristics; speed, phase current, source current, efficiency, electromagnetic torque, and load torque were determined. Magnetic flux density and flux lines in the stator and rotor and the current densities in windings are presented. The optimal rotor model for SRM was determined by considering electrical and magnetic performance data.

Fotovoltaik (FV) sistemlerin ilk kurulum maliyeti yüksek iken genel sistem verimliliği düşüktür. Bundan dolayı kurulan sistemin maksimum verimlilik ile çalışması hedeflenmektedir. Verimliliği etkileyen unsurlardan biri de panel yüzeyinin toz/kar/kirlenme gibi çeşitli nedenlerle kaplanmasıdır. FV panele gelen ışınların geçmesine engel olan bu durumlarının giderilmesi için bir süpürücü mekanizma tasarlanmış ve tahrik elmanı olarak kullanmak üzere Doğrusal Fırcasız Dogru Akım Motoru (FDAM) tasarımı yapılmıştır. Doğrusal FDAM'nin Sonlu Elamanlar Yöntemi (SEY) ile magnetostatik ve statik stres analizleri yapılmış ve tasarıma ait sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Sonuçlar tasarlanan Doğrusal FDAM sistem için gerekli kuvveti üretebildiğini göstermiştir. Ayrıca sistem için öngörülen enerji tüketim hesabı yapılmıştır. Doğrusal FDAM'nin süpürücü mekanizması ile yapacacağı enerji tüketiminin, sistem verimliliğine etkisinin yanında çok düşük kaldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
