Community entrepreneurship training is one of strategies to improve community economic empowerment. Entrepreneurship training is carried out to improve the ability of the learners to develop their business. This program was carried out because the community's entrepreneurial ability in the CLC Assolahiyah in Karawang regency was still deficient. The aim of this research is to describe the identification of local resources in the development of entrepreneurship for community empowerment through training and mentoring the community entrepreneurship. The approach in this research is qualitative. Research method used is case study to describe local potential development in community empowerment. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis techniques are interactive models, through the stages of data collection, data reduction, display data, conclusions, and verification. The result concludes that the development strategy of community entrepreneurial program begins with the identification of local potential resources, both natural resources and human resources. The results of the entrepreneurship training are the growth and development of productive skills, technical skills, physical skills, social skills, managerial skills, and intellectual skills of the learner’s entrepreneurship. The impact of developing local potentials in implementing entrepreneurship programs is increasing the empowerment of community entrepreneurship. The indicator is the increase of independence, community empowerment and economic income generation.
This study examines the effectiveness of using audio visual as media in improving learning achievement of a Islamic Junior high schools. The study used qualitative methods with observation, interview and documentation as techniques for data collection. The results of this research shows that the use of audio visual media in enhancing the learning achievement of Islamic education at SMP Negeri 1 Palu was effective for several reasons: First, the use of audio-visual media can clarify the material that is taught, effectifying and functioning students’ sensory, both senses of sight and hearing in accordance with the nature of the characteristics of the material and subject matter that is taught. Second, gives stimulation, experiences and observations that is similar to students in the same time with the subject matter. Third, encourages students to be active in learning activity. By using the audio-visual media, we can also say that the PAI teachers have motivated the whole class to be actively included in the teaching learning proces. Fourth, audio-visual media is very effective in improving students’ interest and achievement in learning Islamic education. The supporting factors are the learning system thatt is used, the quality of teachers, the facilities and infrastructures, as well as the role of parents, communities and the agencies related. The factors that inhibit the effectiveness of using audio visual media are as follows: (1). Time allocation of learning, (2). Procurement of electricity. To overcome these problems we can use genset macine as temporary power, desain the material an media in accodane with time.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate shari’ah scholars’ views and experiences pertaining the shari’ah issues, challenges and prospects in Islamic derivatives. Specifically, this paper critically examines the criticisms toward conventional derivative instruments and the controversies surrounding underlying contracts and current Islamic derivative products. Design/methodology/approach This study uses qualitative methods to form a deeper understanding of shari’ah scholars’ perception and experience on Islamic derivatives. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five shari’ah scholars who are currently working in Islamic financial institutions in Malaysia and Singapore. This study used phenomenological techniques for its data analysis. Findings This study has found that shari’ah scholars are aware of the shari’ah issues surrounding Islamic derivatives and have provided comprehensive insight on the solution to these issues. It was found that it is important to take into account the derivatives instruments in Islamic financial industry because of the need for hedging and risk mitigation within Islamic financial institutions. Nonetheless, the study has also found that the use of wa’ad contracts to structure Islamic profit rate swaps and foreign currency exchanges are problematic because of it having features of bay’ al-kali’ bil-kali (the sale of one debt for another). Originality/value This study is one of few studies that highlight the shari’ah issues of Islamic derivatives in Islamic banking and finance industry. This paper is of value in discussing risk management and Islamic derivatives in Islamic financial institutions and how there are many issues under the investigation process, particularly issues related to controversial underlying contracts and products.
Discussing the issue of language acquisition is interesting. Acquisition as an unconscious process is important when someone acquire a language. It contrasted with learning, which is a conscious process. The process of language acquisition and language learning influences by some factors. The process of language acquisition can be viewed from the perspectives of psycholinguistic, sociolinguistic, and neurolinguistic. From neurolinguistics perspective examines the nervous system in the human brain has an important role the process of acquiring a foreign language; includes external and internal factors of the human environment. This article discusses the process of Arabic language acquisition for non-native students.
Throughout Indonesia, at all levels of higher education and schools, an increased rate of boredom, dropout risk, decreased involvement and low academic achievement is directly related to low school engagement. The Education of Islamic School (Pesantren) is known as one of the highest risks of disengages. The 2015 PISA study results for engagement and motivation in learning ranked Indonesia in the 62nd position out of a possible 70. Thus, Indonesia is perceived as having a low level of learning engagement. This study examines the effect of self-efficacy, self-concept, and social support regarding school engagement. The study sample included 213 Senior High School students from the Assa'adah Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren). The sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. Study results show that there is a significantly positive effect when self-efficacy, self-concept, and social support are able to influence school engagement. The significant variance in the proportion of school engagement was 97.9% for all independent variables and the rest was explained by the residual. The Results for minor hypotheses shows that eight variables significantly affected school engagement namely initiative, persistence, effort, self-evaluation, attachment, guidance, a reassurance of worth and social integration. Other variables had no significant effect on school engagement.
