This study aims to examine the language style (al–uslub) used by al- Barudi in his poetry with the theme of life descriptions by describing the main idea or theme, elements of feeling or emotion, and language style based on aspects of diction or choice of words, syntax or sentence structure and rhetorical aspect or meaning. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical literature study by referring to Al-Barudi's poetry text as the primary source. The data analysis method used is content analysis (tahlil al–madmun). The author uses a stylistic approach in examining and analyzing the language styles used by the poets in this poem. In examining this poem, the writer will use the stylistic theory proposed by Gorys Keraf related to the classification of types of diction, language style based on syntactic aspects, and rhetorical aspects or meaning. This poetry has the theme of "life description" with a choice of words that still maintain aesthetic values supported by a very strong language style or (al–uslub). The language style contained in the poem is very strong and appropriate with the characteristics of the neoclassical genre of poetry pioneered by al-Barudi at that time, although free, but still strongly adheres to wazan and qafiyah. Seen from the aspect of diction, the words chosen by the poet in sya'ir are quite easy to understand in a popular style. Then from the aspect of sentence structure or syntax, this poem has a climax style. The language styles based on the meaning contained in this poem are hyperbole, simile, pleonasm, apostrophe, ellipsis, assonance, erotesis, and euphemism.
This research applies the Research and Development design that aims to develop a valid, effective and practical Arabic Learning Media android-based Arabic learning media to increase students’ interest in learning Arabic. This research use Borg and Gall procedure. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire to obtain qualitative and quantitative data which is then analyzed using the assessment category criteria guidelines to determine product quality. Based on the material expert's assessment, the percentage of 93% was obtained, the media expert's assessment obtained a percentage of 94% and the high school Arabic teacher's assessment obtained a percentage of 96%, while the high school students' responses obtained a percentage of 91.62%. This study shows that android-based Arabic learning media on isim dhamir material is feasible to use in the learning process. It can be concluded that the development of android-based Arabic learning media for high school students is very effective in helping Arabic language learning process.
This study aimed to develop, test the feasibility, determine the attractiveness, and determine the effectiveness of digital comic media for learning Arabic reading skills for the fifth-grade elementary school students. This was a research and development study using the ADDIE model which consisted of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques deployed interviews, observations, documentation, and tests. The instruments were the questionnaires for validation of material experts, media experts, and linguists, and the questionnaire for students' responses to the attractiveness of the products developed. The digital comic media was classified as very feasible to be used in learning Arabic. The foregoing was evidenced by the score of feasibility test results from 2 material experts of 95% or in the very feasible category. The result of the feasibility test by 2 media experts demonstrated a score of 96% or in the very feasible category. The result of the feasibility test by linguists with a score of 76% fell into the feasible category. This digital comic media was interesting to use in learning Arabic. It was evidenced by the results of students' responses with a score of 85.57% or very interesting in the medium group trial and 85.16% or very interesting in the large group trial. This digital comic media had been proven to be able to increase students’ scores. Students’ scores increased by 32.30 with an average score of 55.65 before using the media and 88.00 after using digital comic media. The foregoing showed that the Arabic digital comic media developed by the researchers was an interesting and effective media to be used as learning media.
Dictionary defines a book consisting of set of vocabularies that are taken from the original or adoption language. The main purpose of the study is to explore the method used by Ahmad Warson Munawwir in arranging Arab–Indonesian Munawwir dictionary, in term of similarities and differences between both dictionaries. This study is library research with qualitative analysis; therefore, the researchers use documentary method to collect the data, in particular, the matters explain the arrangement method of this dictionary. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses Bibliography Method to find out the acts and histories of some figures and the dictionary. Descriptive method is used to describe and analyze the data about the arrangement method of this dictionary. From analyzing the data, the researcher reveals some conclusion, such as 1) the chapters of this dictionary are arranged according to Hijaiyyah Letters sequences. 2) this dictionary is divided into two parts; the first part consists of vocabularies and the second part consists of pictorial vocabularies and cases associated with important events in the world, 3) this dictionary adds sentences as the explanation of the words, 4) Munawwir Dictionary is multilanguage translation dictionary, 5) Munawwir Dictionary explains the words meaning using two languages, they are Arabic to Arabic and Arabic to Indonesian. 6) Ahmad Warson Munawwir doesn’t clarify the pictorial vocabularies in the dictionary by giving the main title yet.
