On étudie les aspects locaux et globaux des actions holomorphes de SL 2 (C) sur les variétés complexes de dimension trois, à partir de l'étude des algèbres de Lie de champs de vecteurs qui engendrent une action uniforme. On décrit géométriquement et dynamiquement une famille de telles algèbres étudiée par Halphen vers la fin du XIXème siècle. On donne des formes normales pour les actions de SL 2 (C) au voisinage des orbites unidimensionnelles. On étudie ensuite les compactifications équivariantes des espaces homogènes de SL 2 (C). On prouve que si Γ ⊂ SL 2 (C) est un sous-groupe discret non-élémentaire alors Γ\SL 2 (C) admet une compactification équivariante (comme variété complexe) si et seulement si Γ est géométriquement fini et n'a pas d'éléments paraboliques. On démontre que toutes les compactifications équivariantes sont biméromorphiquement équivalentes. De plus, si Γ n'a pas de torsion, Γ\SL 2 (C) admet une compactification minimale, obtenue comme quotient d'un ouvert de l'unique compactification biéquivariante de SL 2 (C).Théorème B. -Soit H(α 1 , α 2 , α 3 ) un champ n'ayant que des solutions uniformes. Alors il existe une variété complexe de dimension trois M munie d'une action holomorphe à droite de PSL 2 (C) et d'un plongement ı : C 3 → M tel que la restriction de l'algèbre de Lie de champs de vecteurs (associée à l'action) à l'image de C 3 est engendrée par les champs i ∂/∂z i ,On étudie ensuite les actions locales maximales holomorphes de SL 2 (C) au voisinage d'une orbite unidimensionnelle qui se trouve dans l'adhérence d'une orde Γ\SL 2 (C) si et seulement si le nombre de composantes connexes compactes de Γ\Ω et le nombre de bouts de Γ\SL 2 (C) sont égaux (si Γ est géométriquement fini et n'a pas d'éléments paraboliques). Théorème E. -Soit Γ ⊂ SL 2 (C) un sous-groupe discret et non-élémentaire. Toute compactification équivariante de Γ\SL 2 (C) est une variété (non-kaehlerienne) de dimension algébrique nulle et toutes les compactifications équivariantes sont biméromorphiquement isomorphes. En plus, si Γ n'a pas de torsion (en dehors du centre) alors il existe une unique compactification équivariante Z Γ telle que pour toute autre compactification équivariante M il existe une fonction f : M → Z Γ équivariante surjective.
