Applications on internet are generally made with a several languages programming and must be able to run well on operating systems, even different devices. REST API is an architecture designed on a web service that has been widely accepted by the public for simple use in mobile cloud paradigm. RESTful web service works by identifies a URI (Uniform resourced Identifier) and then modify it with GET, POST, PUT or DELETE command that can be represented in several languages programming. Mobile applications nowadays are not separated from daily life community through the ease and development of technology that is increasingly rising. Monitoring is a systematic data collection activity regarding an ongoing activity. Monitoring of University of Trunojoyo Madura dormitory activities is needed so that student character education can run optimally. Constraints that have been encountered are all process monitoring is still done manually, so it required a monitoring application to facilitate monitoring data process become more qualified and simplify the entire user that occupant, caretaker or manager in conduct of monitoring entire activity in the dorm.
Salt is one of Indonesia’s major commodities. However, the quality of industrial salt in Indonesia is still an obstacle, so the need for industrial salt still relies on imported salt, especially from Australia. Quality improvement is done through purification using the recrystallization method. The use of a method that is still simple results in the salt being produced still has an as-is quality. Quality is shown from the appearance of salt physically and chemically. Good salt is shown by the crystal form which is smooth and has clear white color. Therefore, good knowledge of salt quality must be known early, in addition to being able to meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI),in this way salt farmers will more easily improve the quality of salt produced and can differentiate salt designation based on its quality category. This study takes the theme of how to make decisions to determine the quality of salt, so that a decision support system will be built to assist in determining good salt quality by using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. This method can support the decision making of salt quality determination based on the weight of each attribute. Morever, the total score of the end result can produce a good alternative decision in accordance with specified criteria, so that it will produce salt quality.
Thesis is an important thing and always exist in a university. The thesis also as a manifestation of the results of scientific papers of students registered and organized in accordance with the prescribed rules. This time the problems arising from the submission of the thesis at the University of Trunojoyo in general is a process of finding and determining a thesis titles appropriate to ask students and unavailability of data from student thesis systematically arranged and computerized, so that in the manufacture of paper there are many similarities, both in the form of titles and methods that are often used by students, this affects the uniformity of student-made thesis results. With the development of thesis management application using code igniter and cosine similarity framework is expected to evaluate, monitor, and improve the performance of the manual system into a computation system while minimizing similarity and plagiarism and can improve services to students who submit a thesis easily in accordance with the rules applicable in the University of Trunojoyo Madura.
Montoring is a systematic process of collecting data from that data to be evaluated to find out the quality of the system, along with times the monitoring and evaluation process is done using technology that can be web-based or android mobile, so that the process of monitoring & evaluation is easier and more efficient. In addition to getting an accurate assessment, it is necessary to apply a method that can process data into an objective assessment, the SMART method is a simple multi-attribute method that can be used in processing data into an accurate assessment. Trunojoyo Madura University Dormitory has many activities aimed at realizing the education of the dormitory character, the activity data is monitored and evaluated to provide an assessment of the activeness of students living in the dormitory. However, the process of monitoring & evaluation of the dormitory is still carried out manually, so an application for monitoring & evaluating the activities of the hostel which uses the SMART method is needed to facilitate the monitoring process and obtain an objective assessment result.
Thesis topic is an inseparable part in the world of tertiary education. Determining the thesis topic becomes a problem for students. The determination of the thesis topic leads to the trend of the topic in the development of computer science. The determination of the topic of thesis for students often ignores their ability to process. Ideally in determining the topic of the thesis, the record of student grades can be an important variable in deciding topics for students, where the student’s grade record is contained in the transcript. Therefore, this study uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method in recommending thesis topics by classifying selected subject groups that have been taken by students. The Support Vector Machine method is a classification method of supervision because it requires testing data and training data as a training process at the time of prediction. Support Vector Machine provides an optimal model, which provides a solution with a maximum margin to determine the distance of data to the hyperplane. The test results show an accuracy of 80%.
