The article reveals key problems of motivational mechanisms that ensure economic growth, considering factor influences, including the endogenous level of a person. Efficiency of production and economic activity is considered from the viewpoint of revealing of the internal nature of person's motivational interests. The article reveals general framework of labor motivation as a science of effective management of structurally connected technical and technological as well as organizational and economic structures, where the necessity for self-regulation of labor activity to build dynamic multilevel relations is justified. The endogenous level of motivational interests is considered through the prism of the integrity of personal development, where the supreme goal is not only political and economic interests, but also moral ones. Justifying the fundamental approaches to the labor management in terms of efficiency (optimality), very important is taking into account the potential opportunities, since from the perspective of optimal use of labor resources, development of economic potential is the determinative element in the achievement of the performance measure (economic value and benefit). The development of value orientations and performance indicators is exactly the way that allows reflecting the limitations of existing methodological approaches to the mobilization of labor resources in the mechanism of economic management. Considering a new approach to labor motivation from the perspective of organizational and economic science, the main mechanism, as a rule, is the principle of the maximum viability of a one or another labor process regulation system. An alternative to this approach can be only the socio-economic system that meets the principles of optimal construction of economic interests and evaluation of each element in the overall results of production activities. Bringing such an optimum control action is almost impossible without the regulatory role of the state, because the sociopsychological motives of behavior are the driving force of decisions made, and therefore cannot reveal the effectiveness of labor potential and its motivational component, which would contribute to the confirmation of the principles of rational labor construction. The basic principle of labor motivation from the standpoint of optimization should be the labor theory of value and utility as the basis of value and labor economic motivations, revealing the economic nature of costs and the function of economic value and utility at the endogenous level of social and labor relations.
As part of the study, engineering solutions in the field of creating power plants based on renewable energy sources were analyzed. The work revealed that in Russia the level of development of renewable energy sources is ten times lower than in the world, and renewable energy potential is not used. An engineering solution was proposed in the work, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, construction and commissioning of a power plant based on renewable energy sources. At the end of the study, a scheme was proposed for introducing wind power plants into the energy system in order to maintain the stability and reliability of power supply to consumers and meet the demand for electric energy.
The evaluation of the Russian oil and gas companies' competitiveness in the foreign market under the tough market conditions is of particular importance as it is crucial to retain company's current position and market share. The article makes qualitative and quantitative evaluation of Russian companies in the global gas market. To analyze the competitiveness of the gas industry company in the foreign market, the authors used a dynamic method of evaluating competitiveness coupled with a SWOT analysis. The dynamic evaluation method offers an opportunity to identify the basic factors that influenced the level of competitiveness of the entity under study and, accordingly, determine the main reserves for increasing its competitiveness.Based on the study conducted, recommendations were made on the increase in competitiveness in the current situation of unstable demand and volatile energy prices. By analyzing the PJSC Gazprom level of competitiveness, as well as its external and internal environment, indicators were identified the regulation of which will lead to the progressive development of the organization and increase in its competitiveness. The practical relevance of the study lies in the possibility to use both the research outcome and the proposed methods in a development strategy for the gas industry company.
The article deals with the problems of structural modernization of the Russian economy in the context of using the potential of the fuel and energy sector. The authors reveal the structural modernization regularities and the role of the fuel and energy sector as the most important component in the development of the country's productive forces. Generating a sustainable economic growth trajectory requires increasing the efficiency of using the potential of the energy sector. It is proved that the low technical and technological level of the extractive and processing industries of the fuel and energy sector, price imbalances, and the devaluation of the ruble do not meet the strategic goals of industrial development and achieving economic security.

The author reveals regularities of structural modernization and identifies the role of the fuel and energy complex as the most important element for developing the country's productive forces. Creating a trajectory of sustainable economic growth requires an increased efficiency of using the energy complex potential. It is substantiated hat the low technical and technological level of extractive and processing sectors of the fuel and energy complex, pricing imbalances, ruble devaluation don't meet the strategic goals of industrial development and achieving economic security.
