Aonidiella aurantii (Maskell), Aspidiotus nerii Bouché, Borchseniaspis palmae (Cockerell), Cornuaspis beckii (Newman), Chrysomphalus aonidum (Linnaeus), Chrysomphalus dictyospermi (Morgan), Insulaspis gloverii (Packard), Mycetaspis personata (Comstock), Parlatoria cinerea Doane & Hadden, Parlatoria pergandii Comstock, Pinnaspis aspidistrae (Signoret) and Unaspis citri (Comstock), on citrus plants in Tucumán, Argentina, are discussed in this paper. A key for the recognition of the species, as well as the synonymy, characterization and illustration are also included. Data on economic importance and host plants are provided.
Sixteen chemicals currently used in citrus orchards to control insects, mites, fungi and weeds, were tested in their contact and fumigant effects on two Aphytis species which successfully attack scale insects. The insecticides, acaricides, fungicides and herbicides varied greatly in their toxicity to the parasitoids. The fungicides Cuprargen, Vencedor, Aliette and Dithane and the herbicides Hyvar X and Round Up, were practically harmless and can be recommended for use in IPM programmes.

Es wurden 16 chemische Pestizide, die in Citrus‐Plantagen zur Bekämpfung von Insekten, Milben, Pilzen und Unkräutern verwendet werden, auf ihre Wirkungen gegenüber zwei Aphytis‐Arten (Aphelinidae), welche als erfolgreiche Schildlaus‐Antagonisten bekannt sind, getestet. Die Insektizide, Akarizide, Fungizide und Herbizide variierten hinsichtlich ihrer Toxizität gegenüber den Parasitoiden sehr stark. Die Fungizide Cuprargen, Vencedor, Aliette und Dithane sowie die Herbizide Hyvar X und Round Up erwiesen sich praktisch als harmlos und können daher zur Verwendung in IPM‐Programmen empfohlen werden.
El Proyecto Bambú de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la U.N.T. se propone mejorar las técnicas populares en una primera etapa y desarrollar otras tipologías estructurales y constructivas al haber verificado las enormes posibilidades que ofrecen las bambúseas. El resultado puede ser el desarrollo de una arquitectura genuinamente orgánica con auténticas ventajas económicas, tecnológicas y ecológicas con grandes posibilidades de constituirse en un sólido factor de desarrollo de las economías regionales coadyuvando además a un desarrollo sustentable.
