The relevance of the research topic. On the recent methods of biotechnology are increasingly used in plant breeding and seed production. Herbaceous plants such as strawberries, potatoes, a vegetable, some medicinal and others are capable of vegetative propagation the traditional methods of culture, successfully introduced in both in vitro and can achieve a high rate of reproduction. Modern plant biotechnology – the sum of the technologies developed in molecular and cell biology of plants – a new stage in the development of the technology of plant breeding. With these improved characteristics may occur at the level of individual genes and individual genes that determine a specific trait, can be identified. They may be the final selection, they can be isolated, insert, delete, or modify the genotype or variety. Goal. Identify the features of the manifestation of economically valuable features and decorative properties of Callistephus chinensis and the inclusion of the best varieties in the biotech link, their adaptation to the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine and their further use in landscaping. Methods. Laboratory – determination of seed germination; mathematical and statistical - for processing the reliability of the obtained research results. Results. The nutrient medium for growing plant tissues and cells, by analogy with the medium for culturing animal tissues, should contain all that the tissues in the plant organism receive from xylem and phloem currents of substances. However, in practice it has been found that vegetable juices cannot serve as a complete nutrient medium for growing isolated tissues and cells. This manifests the specificity of the receipt, transportation and especially the redistribution of nutrients in the plant. Based on the analysis, research was conducted to study the possibility of mass off-season vegetative propagation of plants of Callistephus chinensis in vitro. Practical recommendations on the selection of sterilizer, sterilization, nutrient medium and for the adaptation period of the best genotypes of this culture have been developed. As a result of the conducted researches the methods of selection of the initial plant material of Callistephus chinensis (Callistephus Chinensis (L.) NEES) and its surface sterilization, modification of existing aseptic culture methods have been studied and mastered. The morphogenetic potential of explants from different plant organs was investigated and selection of nutrient medium and study of the influence of plant growth regulators and physical parameters on the process of morphogenesis was carried out. The features of regeneration of isolated explants depending on the composition of the nutrient medium and selection of conditions for obtaining self-clones of Callistephus chinensis (Callistephus Chinensis (L.) NEES) were studied. Key words: in vitro, plant biotechnology, Callistephus Chinensis, nutrient medium, rhizogenesis.

This article deals with the possibilities to introduce the ornamental shrub Lonicera pileata Oliv. belonging to Caprifoliaceae Vent. family in the landscaping of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The representatives of Lonicera pileata Oliv. (Cultivars Рileata, form Variegata and form Lemon Beauty) endure winter well and adapt to new climatic conditions of the planting site. The plants were found tolerant to shade, cold, pruning, and urban ecological conditions with polluted air. It has been revealed that, depending on the purpose of the landscaping object, these shrubs can perform various functions: create architectural and artistic image of the object; promote biological land reclamation along with other plants; protect against dust and noise; regulate moisture and temperature. Simultaneously, to grow plants of Lonicera pileata Oliv. successfully, it is critical to use farming techniques developed by the author scientists. When the representatives of evergreen shrubs of Lonicera pileata Oliv. are introduced in the landscaping of residential areas, they can be used to decorate landscape-gardening objects with different functional use creating landscape compositions in gardens and parks, on the plots with different exposition and slopes, as anti-erosion plants, in alpine landscapes, as freestanding shrubs or in group plantations, at the background of lawns, in flowerbeds, in alpine screen gardens, in rockeries, in freely growing and trimmed hedges, and as ground-covering plants.
Laboratory similarity of introduced Chinese calisthephus varieties has been investigated with a view to further using seedlings in soil conditions of the best genotypes. Also, the main task was to determine the actual intensity of seeds germination in the studied varieties of Chinese callistephus in the laboratory. The studies uexamined 20 introduced varieties of Chinese calisthephus plants with diff erent characteristics, origin and direction of use, with their further study on the main economic and valuable features for landscaping. As a result of the studies conducted on the similarity of Chinese introduced calicephus varieties seeds with diff erent economic traits, productivity and direction of use, the genotypes were isolated and grouped, on average over the years, with high, medium and low coeffi cient of similarity. Accordingly, the germination control was performed starting from the fourth day after sowing. It should be noted that the sprouts were not recorded in six varieties, respectively – in the Malynovyi shar, Esmeralda, Vesnyanka, Syedaya Dama, Salmon Turm and Sofi a. The varieties of Oksamyt, Oksana, Princess and Amber had a similarity rate of 10 %. Medium and high rates of seed germination (50–90 %) were recorded in the varieties of Odarka, Hilda, Snizhana, Anastasia (Soph.), Winter Cherry, Alexandra, Swan Lake and King Size (red), which will further enable the respective varieties research on the study of economic biological, and most importantly the decorative properties of introduced varieties for the purpose of their further use in the landscape gardening. Key words: genotype, Chinese callistephus, varieties, introduction, economically valuable traits, decorative, seed germination, multiplication factor.
Evaluation of seven introduced genotypes of lemon (CITRUS LIMON L.) of domestic and foreign selection in the Central Forest-Steppe of Ukraine (Department of Horticulture of Uman NUS) was carried out on the basis of economic and biological characteristics. Their systematic origin was determined and the possibility of using introduced varieties of Citrus Limon L. in the garden and park economy of the Central Forest-Steppe of Ukraine was investigated. The possibility of using introduced representatives of Citrus Limon L is highlighted and studied. in the horticultural economy of the central forest-steppe of Ukraine. Geographical origin has been clarified. The evaluation was carried out on decorative properties and basic economic and biological characteristics. Indicators of rhizogenesis of the studied varieties are carried out and generalized. This year, studies will be conducted on the phenological phases of development, flowering and fruiting of introduced plants, both in general and on the example of individual samples. A brief economic, biological and decorative characteristic of collectible lemon varieties in the conditions of the central forest-steppe of Ukraine is given, which are included in further research on the cultivation and reproduction of promising varieties for further use in gardening. For rooting, cuttings of 10–12cm in size were taken. leaving one pair of leaves on it. Rooting of Lemons was carried out on April 20–25, 2020 at an average daily temperature of 18°C. The soil mixture for rooting consisted of leaf humus, turf soil and sand in a ratio of 2: 1: 1. During rooting in the room where the experiment was conducted, optimal conditions for cuttings were provided, namely: maintaining the air temperature not lower than 25°C and humidity 80–85 %. Digging of rooted cuttings was carried out on September 24-45, 2020. After digging, an analysis of lemon rooting was performed. As a result of the conducted researches the received varietal samples had good development of root system and growth of shoots. During rooting, the cuttings were treated with a gel root-forming agent "Clonex". Plants of the selected varieties will be planted in mid-April, when the average daily air temperature will be 10–12°C so that the plants take root and do not die. In summer, it is planned to monitor the timing and frequency of flowering, the intensity of growth of young shoots, and crown formation.
