Meine in den Abhandlungen der Krakauer Akademie der Wissen schaften im Jahre 1911 veröffentlichten Untersuchungen über den Verlauf der Aktionsströme im Zentralnervensystem enthalten eine Reihe von Tatsachen, deren Bekanntgabe einem grösseren Kreise der Fachkollegen ich für angezeigt erachte, zumal wie aus der von W .W. N e m i n s k i 1) publizierten Arbeit zu ersehen ist, diese U nter suchungen von auf demselben Gebiete arbeitenden Forschern un beachtet geblieben sind. Die Untersuchungen wurden am Zentralnervensystem des Frosches mit Hilfe des E in t h o v e n 'sehen Saitengalvanometers unternommen. Zweck derselben war, den Verlauf der von mir bereits früher studierten elektrischen Erscheinungen im zentralen Nervensystem genauer zu erforschen. Bei einem Teile der Versuche war im Galvanometer als Saite ein W ol a s t o n 'scher Platinfaden von 7800 Ohm W iderstand, in einem anderen ein ebensolcher von 10500 Ohm Widerstand angebracht. Die Empfindlichkeit betrug 12 X 10-10 bis 8 X IO-10 und wurde in jedem einzelnen Falle notiert. Als Objekt diente die sorgfältig aus dem W irbelkanal heraus präparierte zerebrospinale Achse von stark gekühlten Fröschen. Es wurden am Präparate entweder die unversehrten Hinterextremitäten behalten (wenn nämlich die Haut derselben mechaoisch oder chemisch gereizt werden sollte), oder nur noch die ebenfalls präparierten Nervi 1) Einige elektrische Erscheinungen im Zentralnervensystem bei Rana temporaria.
